Good evening everybody, just a quick update with a focus on the next 24 hours, as we do have some more snow moving into the region early tomorrow morning, so don’t be surprised if some of you (especially in northwest MA, SVT and SWNH) see the ground whiten up again by noon tomorrow.
For tonight, clouds will increase but we’ll remain dry until well after midnight. Lows will dip into the mid to upper 20s, setting up a snowy onset tomorrow, early.
Snow showers may arrive between 4-6am in northwest CT and southwest MA (southern Berkshires, western Hampden County), and then spread northeast from there through the early to mid morning.
Who’s psyched for more snow? Anyone? Bueller?
Snow will mix with and change to sleet and rain by mid to late morning in the lower terrain, and last longer in the eastern Berkshires, northwest CT, western hilltowns, SVT/SWNH, the northern half of Franklin County, and northern Worcester County.
In those areas, snow may not to start mix/change until late morning or even early afternoon north of the MA border.
A coating to 2″ (less southeast, more northwest) is expected, with most seeing a coating to 1″, and the 2″ amounts being relegated to the southern Greens or maybe western Franklin County.
All precipitation quits by late afternoon, leaving us with a mostly cloudy Saturday night with patchy fog possible and lows in the upper 20s to low 30s.
Sunday afternoon and evening looks showery, too, but it will be milder, and we should start off dry Sunday morning.
I will update on that and into next week with tomorrow morning’s report, but just know that many of us are likely waking up to snow tomorrow, and it may be the last time we see the ground whitened for a while, if not the rest of this Winter season.
Have a great night, and please check out my membership offerings at the link below to what you’ll get when you become a member, thank you!

Good morning folks, we’re completing a trifecta of sweet late-Winter days for your Friday. This is my gift to you, may you enjoy it to the end of your day. #YoureWelcome
Lots of weak little waves and fronts to move across the region, with fairly light impacts over the next 5-7 days.
Most notably, we’ll get some snow tomorrow morning, especially in the high terrain west of the I-91 corridor with some light accumulations, and then Monday night into Tuesday night we’ll get a brief cold shot that will remind us what season we’re still experiencing.
Having said that, I will commence with pecking out double-dashes for your skimming pleasure.
SUMMARY
–Expect mostly sunny skies today as high pressure passes to our south
–Highs will reach the mid 30s to low 40s with a light wind
–Clouds increase tonight, with lows in the low to mid 20s
–Snow arrives before dawn in northwest CT and the Berkshires, and spreads northeast through the region during the first hours of daylight
–Southwest milder flow will accompany this warm frontal boundary, and will flip snow to rain fairly quickly Saturday morning in the Pioneer Valley south and east with some slushy coatings possible
–Northwest MA into southern VT and possibly the Monadnock Region in NH may see a coating to 2″ with snow lasting longer in the morning, before mixing with sleet and rain, and then changing to rain by late morning or early afternoon
–Highs eventually will reach the upper 30s to low 40s with a raw day ahead
–Rain will quit by later afternoon and we’ll be mostly cloudy Saturday night with lows in the low 30s
–Sunday starts off with some sunny breaks, but another system passing to our north looks to spawn a secondary low to our south, and bring in more showers in the afternoon and overnight period
–Highs will reach the low to mid 40s
–Some snow may mix in over the high terrain at night, otherwise scattered rain showers are expected
–Lows will dip into the mid 30s with patchy fog possible
–A cold front moves through on Monday, but not before we get a partly sunny day in with highs well into the 40s
–A brief Arctic shot arrives Monday night with clearing skies, blustery conditions, lows in the teens, northwest winds gusting to 30mph, and wind chills in the single digits! Cold!
–Tuesday will be sunny and cold with highs in the 25-30º range, and lows in the teens, with a storm missing to our south
–Wednesday and Thursday look milder, and by late week we could see a coastal storm get its act together, but we will get more details on that to you as we get closer
Have a great day, and I hope you’ll join as a member of my community-backed Support Network today so I can continue to focus on this resource and serving you throughout 2021 and beyond, no matter what our weather does throughout the year (link below):
