Weekend Update

Good morning everybody, we’ve got a great stretch of mostly dry weather coming up through the next week or so, and this weekend looks very nice.

We have some mid and high-level cloudiness that will mix in today. High pressure is moving further offshore, and will kick around a southeast wind. At the same time, a low pressure system is trying to get organized off of the NC coast this evening, and there is another shortwave south of New England.

While it’s possible that this could generate a shower into Western Mass, it’s highly unlikely, and expected that the ridge over us will win out, and keep any precipitation confined to extreme southeast MA this weekend. Even there, it could remain dry.

So we might see more clouds than sun at times, but overall it will be a beautiful weekend with highs in the upper 70s to 80 degrees, and this will continue Monday as well.

After that we will begin to warm Tuesday through Thursday with highs getting up to near 90 degrees on Wednesday, with increasing humidity ahead of a cold front that will be approaching from our west.

Thursday could see some showers and thunderstorms as the cold front provides lift in the atmosphere, coupled with lower level moisture, and some instability.

Late week looks to cool back down into the upper 70s for highs, and sunny conditions. So our stretch of very nice weather looks to continue with no big severe weather outbreaks in sight at the moment. Have a great weekend!!
