Sunny Days Are Here Again!

Good morning everybody, who’s up for 7 days of partly sunny weather around 80 degrees? I know I am. Personally, I will never complain about the rain given the drought in the western part of the country, but it’s nice to have a pattern change, and this is the first time in about a month where we will have this many consecutive days of rain-free weather.

The cold front that represented the leading edge of this slightly cooler (for New England) and drier air mass has literally just cleared the coast this morning. The eastern 2/3rds of Mass are seeing clouds this morning, and even some showers on the Cape. But Western Mass is already sunning itself, and thank god for that.

A strong 1020 millibar high pressure system has moved south into the central part of the country, in Illinois at the moment. The clockwise flow around this system will bring in drier air, and west-northwest winds tomorrow around 10-15mph.

We are going to have highs in the upper 70s to low 80s through the weekend, and lows in the mid to upper 50s. Perfect sleeping weather.

Next week a chance for showers does show up, but it’s very remote at the moment, and we will probably not see any rain until later in the week when a cold front moves towards our area.

Until then, enjoy this beautiful stretch of sunny weather. We deserve it!
