6:55AM-WED: PATCHY DENSE FOG AGAIN THIS MORNING WILL EVAPORATE AND REVEAL ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL DAY… A SPOT SHOWER OVERNIGHT IS POSSIBLE, WITH MORE FAIR WEATHER THURSDAY AND FRIDAY… BY SATURDAY, A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL BE APPROACHING WITH GUSTY SOUTHWEST WINDS AHEAD OF IT… SHOWERS AND A FEW T-STORMS MOVE THROUGH LATE AFTERNOON AND EVENING WITH A BLUSTERY, COOLER PAIR OF DAYS SUNDAY AND MONDAY WITH LOW CHANCE FOR FIRST FROST MONDAY NIGHT… THEN ANOTHER MILDENING TAKES PLACE AS WE REMAIN STUCK IN EARLY AUTUMNAL CONDITIONS…
Good morning folks, I sure hope you like all the patchy fog I made just for you this morning! I know how much you love it. Because I’m just that kind of guy, I got busy during the pre-dawn hours adding extra moisture to the air with my incessant, out-of-the-window blabberings as I drove all over the WMass region like a drunken, earthbound Santa Claus (sans the booze intake), so Merry Halloween everybody!
We’ll jump into all of our salient weather details below, but first let’s get a word from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo

SUMMARY:
As previously mentioned, we have more patchy dense fog in spots that is limiting visibility and slowing travel down out there this morning, so lighten up on the gas pedal, you’ll get there.
After the fog burns off by mid to late morning, we’ll get another partly to mostly sunny day in, and we’re sure starting to pack in the fair and dry weather these days – a welcome respite.
Highs will reach the upper 60s to mid 70s with a light west wind, with a more partly cloudy end to the day as a shortwave will be tracking through northern New England overnight.
This feature may bring a spot shower to the region overnight, but no big whoop, as I like to say. Lows will bottom out into the low to mid 50s.
Clouds will probably linger tomorrow morning, so we’ll call it a partly sunny day with a sun/cloud mix and highs in the low to mid 70s with a light northwest wind as high pressure continues to settle to our south off of the Mid-Atlantic coastline. Lows will dip into the low to mid 50s.
Friday brings another partly sunny day as high pressure starts slipping away to the southeast, and clouds will be developing later in the day with highs again in the low to mid 70s which is at least 10 degrees above average for this time of year.
A warm frontal boundary will approach Friday night, and we could have a few scattered lighter showers overnight into very early Saturday morning.
After that we’re off to the races with some dynamic, changing weather for the weekend.
A strong low pressure system will be passing to our northwest Saturday, and dragging its cold front through the region as high pressure builds in behind it out of Canada.
This clash of air masses and pressure gradients will develop a strong southwesterly flow ahead of the front Saturday, with winds gusting between 25-35mph at times during the day, especially by early to mid afternoon.
Highs will climb into the upper 60s to low 70s and the humidity will coming up too, with dewpoints into the low 60s and clouds increasing.
A convective line of showers and thunderstorms will sweep through the region late afternoon to evening, and bring briefly heavy rain and some stormy conditions, but it doesn’t look like a very unstable air mass will support severe weather at this time.
Still a thin/brief line of squally conditions should sweep the region, with cool air advection moving in behind the front, which will drop temps down into the mid to upper 40s by Sunday morning as showers end.
For Sunday and Monday, we’re looking blustery as Canadian high pressure pushes in behind this frontal boundary, with highs only in the upper 50s to low 60s on Sunday as mostly sunny skies develop . Northwest winds will gust 20-30mph most likely, and lows will drop to the 40-45º range.
On Monday, another cooler day with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s under sunny, clear skies will give way to a low chance for first frost Monday night with lows in the 35-40º range.
After that, high pressure looks to develop to our south, which will produce yet another Mildening into next week from Tuesday and beyond, but we’ll refine those details as get closer.
I hope things go your way today… Have a great day!
