Good morning everybody, I hope you all slept well. I’ve been taking some magnesium supplements and it’s been helping that cause out. Mmmmmmmagnesium….

We’ve got ups and downs, lefts and rights, this ways and that ways in the Weather Department, so let’s hop like a bunny wabbit into double-dash mode, and get the low down, the download, and other various saliencies so we can get on with gettin’ on….

SYNOPSIS
–We’ve got showers surging northeast out of southwest CT this morning, along with patchy dense fog most notably in central/northern Berkshires up into SVT
–Said fog should burn off by 10am-ish, and said showers should weaken as they encounter slightly drier air than from they’re emanating
–However, we cannot rule out a shower in some spots of the WMass region during the mid to late morning hours, with the best chance for a shower being south of the Route 2 corridor
–It will be a mostly cloudy day with highs in the 75-80º range, and it will be VERY humid with dew points climbing into the upper 60s to low 70s, with even some mid 70s dewpoints possible… blech! #BuhBye
–This will lay the groundwork for scattered showers and downpours to develop after the noon hour across the WMass region, and some thunderstorms are expected as well
–At the moment, it doesn’t appear like a severe storm is possible given the poor lapse rates expected, but localized flash flooding IS a legit threat in the parts of towns where downpours or storms form over and dump heavy rain
–Showers and storms will last past sunset, and should quit by midnight or so, though may last longer in Tolland and Windham Counties of CT into southern Worcester County, but even in those areas it should quit by dawn tomorrow morning
–Anywhere from as little as a tenth of rainfall up to an inch or two is possible today, given our summery, small-storm (a/k/a mesoscale) setup
–Lows tonight will dip into the upper 50s to low 60s with patchy fog possible late
–Much drier, and cooler northwest breezes and flow usher in an entirely new air mass for Friday and Saturday straight out of Canada
–Expect both days to feature mostly sunny skies, highs in the upper 60s to low 70s, super low humidity with chilly, crisp nights with lows in the mid to upper 40s Friday night, and the low 50s Saturday night
–Clouds will increase Saturday night, and then another cold front will be approaching the region on Sunday, which will be mostly cloudy with highs also in the upper 60s to low 70s with a surge of humidity
–Showers will develop by Sunday afternoon and should last through the night, and could be a our best chance over the next 7 days or so to get some appreciable rainfall in our region, which we desperately need
–Lows will drop to near 60º
–Monday through at least Wednesday (if not Thursday as well) of next week look gorgeous with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s from high elevation to low early in the week, moderating into the low to mid 70s for highs by middle of the week
–Some more showers are possible by late next week with another cold front, and then even cooler temps are possible after that

Have a great day, and I will update later on regarding any potential strong weather, but the worst of it appears to be due to heavy rain and possible localized flash flooding.
