7:15A-SAT: LOWS IN THE UPPER 30S BY NEXT WEEKEND? AUTUMN IS SEEPING DEEPER INTO OUR CELLS BY END OF NEXT WEEK… BEFORE THAT TRANSPIRES, WE POETICALLY WATCH A TROPICAL STORM TRACK SOUTHEAST AND AWAY TODAY, FOLLOWED BY A GLORIOUS 3-TO-4-DAY STRETCH OF LATE SUMMER, LOW HUMIDITY WEATHER, CULMINATING WITH 80º ON WEDNESDAY’S 3:20PM EQUINOX… HUMIDITY RISES, AND SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS PASS THROUGH THURSDAY WITH NORTHWEST GUSTS USHERING IN AUTUMNAL WEATHER BY FRIDAY AS DRIER AIR COMES WHOOSHING IN… THE 2022 CALL FOR MY 8TH EDITION WEATHER WALL CALENDAR CONTINUES, MESSAGE ME FOR DETAILS/SPECS…

Good morning everybody, I know, I know, I KNOW that many people detest the cold season around here. However, I welcome it. I know that I can do that because I am able to have shelter, heat, electricity, and that life has worked out enough for me to always have those resources, and I am extremely grateful for that (and to you all for helping making that a reality for this graying writer and weather blabberer!).

I don’t do well in the heat and/or humidity, I’m not made for it, metabolically, psychologically, or metaphysically.

So it is with great enthusiasm that I write and publish today’s report, which outlines increasingly incoming dry surges out of the northwest, abundant sun sprayings, news of the Autumnal Equinox, a true Fall cold front with gusty northwest winds behind it, and our first days with highs either side of 60º, and lows either side of 40º by next Friday or Saturday.

With that, let’s double down with some double dashes and get this weekend show on the road!

ALMOST-NOT-SUMMAH-RY
–Tropical Storm Odette passes well southeast and out to sea today
–A spot shower or area of drizzle is possible this morning
–Patchy dense fog in central MA, northeast CT should abate with time
–High pressure builds in behind Odette, and flow turns out of the north
–Highs soar into the upper 70s to low 80s with partly sunny skies developing
–A cold front approaches this evening, with a few spot showers or an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon to early eve, but nothing severe
–Lows will bottom out into the mid to upper 50s with clearing skies and lower humidity
–Sunday is literally stellar, with highs in the low to mid 70s, sunny, and lows in the upper 40s to low 50s with light north flow, and clear skies
–Monday and Tuesday follow suit with mostly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid 70s, with a few upper 70s possible from Springfield to Hartford
–Lows both nights will land in the low 50s Monday night, and mid to upper 50s Tuesday night with clouds increasing
–Wednesday morning looks partly sunny and pretty nice, and it’s possible we make it through the day dry as we pass the Autumnal Equinox at 3:20pm
–However, a strong cold front that marks the transition of late Summer to early Fall will be pressing in from the northwest by Wednesday night
–Highs Wednesday reach the 75-80º range, and some showers and thunderstorms are possible Wednesday night into Thursday morning
–Wednesday night lows will be in the 50s, with highs Thursday only in the mid to upper 60s
–By Thursday night, the front is through the region, and gusty winds over 30mph are possible with lows plummeting into the mid to upper 40s
–On Friday, we may see some high terrain areas of northwest MA and SVT/SWNH hanging in the upper 50s for highs! Elsewhere highs will be in the low to mid 60s
–Lows Friday night heading into our first Fall weekend may even drop into the upper 30s to mid 40s, with fair weather expected.

Autumn is on the way, folks, so get the cooler weather clothes together, and even though we can’t be 100% sure, I know I’ll be taking my air conditioner out of the window.

Have a great day!
