Good morning everybody, we’ll generally see more clouds than sunshine around our region over the next three days, especially today and tomorrow, and later on Thursday.

This morning we are starting off in the 50s though some upper 40s were observed in a corridor from southwest NH down into NW Worcester County.

For today, a light southeasterly flow will ensure that we see more clouds than sunshine with highs in the 70s. Clouds will thicken overnight with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s, and some scattered showers and possibly a thunder rumble should roll through after midnight and into Wednesday morning as a warm frontal boundary approaches New England.

On Wednesday, some patchy morning fog is possible along with some drizzle patches and showers. Highs will reach the low to mid 70s. There will be some dry spots as well at times, but scattered showers will be possible at night as well with lows in the low 60s.

Humidity rises overnight Wednesday, and will crest through the region on Thursday ahead of an incoming cold front that moves through the WMass region over Thursday night into early Friday morning.

A brief one-day surge of warmth and humidity behind our warm front will push highs into the low to mid 80s on Thursday. While it will be partly sunny on average, I expect more sun earlier in the day, and more clouds later as the cold front gets closer.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected Thursday night into the pre-dawn hours of Friday, but severe weather is not expected.

Lows will drop into the low to mid 60s, and the front should sweep the region before dawn Friday morning.

This will set us up for a largely beautiful Friday with highs in the 75-80º, along with decreasing humidity under increasingly sunny skies. We will dry out and cool down behind the front by Friday night, when lows will dip into the low to mid 50s.

Labor Day Weekend looks exceedingly supreme. Tons of sunshine, low humidity, seasonably warm high temps in the low to mid 70s on Saturday and mid to upper 70s Sunday and Monday with lows in the 50s.

It’s going to be easy on the body, that’s for sure! I know we need the rain, but at least the summery pattern that produced heat waves and severe weather in July and August have left the building for now (and hopefully it’s gone until the 2021 warm season, aside from isolated instances).

I do have to point out that the macro pattern shows a set up that could be conducive to sending tropical systems up the east coast toward New England, so we can’t let our guard down just yet, you know, #Because2020

But for now, put your dancing shoes on and shake those hips!
