Good morning everybody, we once again have some patchy fog in the low-lying areas with clearer skies/conditions at elevation. A warm front brings a few showers overnight, but it is Saturday into Sunday that represents a pattern shift into more autumnal conditions, with what should be a last late-summery taste tomorrow before Autumn sets in a bit deeper into New England.

We’ll jump into all of our salient weather details below, but first let’s get a word from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo

SUMMARY:
–Patchy fog burns off and will reveal a partly sunny day with highs in the low to mid 70s as dewpoints creep up into the low 60s for some, so it’ll be a touch humid
–A warm front approaches tonight as an upper low sweeps into the Great Lakes region, spreading mild, more humid air southwest to northeast into the WMass region
–This will bring a few showers overnight, with lows in the low 60s, quite mild!
–A balmy day is setting up for Saturday after our warm front tracks north of the region
–Southerly wind gusts will blow 20-30mph by afternoon, and a few hit or miss showers will be expected during the day, mixed with a few breaks of sunshine at times, although we should see a mostly cloudy day tomorrow
–Highs will soar well into the 70s, with some upper 70s possible in the WMass region down into northern CT
–Meanwhile, a cold front will be tracking northeast toward WMass by mid-afternoon, with a fine squall line of showers, downpours, and thunderstorms approaching the Taconics and Berkshires by mid to late afternoon
–The strongest of these thunderstorms looks to affect the northern Berkshires/Taconics up into southern VT, where some isolated damaging wind gusts are most possible
–Otherwise between about 5-9pm, the onset of this line will move through WMass/SVT/western CT first, then CMass/SWNH/eastern CT thereafter, with a showery night expected. Lows in the mid 40s to low 50s.
–Sunday is a different weather regime, as cold air advects into the region, with northwest gusts up to 25mph, and highs only in the mid 50s to low 60s as dewpoints and humidity crash, with much drier air coming into the region
–The first lake effect rain shower event will fire up due to this air mass, and some afternoon isolated showers will dot the Berkshire landscape, including the Litchfields, SVT and the Taconics of E.NY
–Lows will drop into the upper 30s to mid 40s
–For Monday, another blustery day is expected, though maybe gusts to 20mph, but colder highs, only reaching the 50s everywhere, with some areas near 50º for highs up in SVT! Bundle up!
–Lows should drop into the 35-40º range, with some first frosts possible in elevated sheltered valleys
–Tuesday and beyond looks a bit milder, as we should get into a southwesterly flow, but highs only expected to be in the low to mid 60s for now with fair weather

I hope things go your way today, and that you have a great day!
