Good morning everybody, our sunset today will happen around 4:37pm, so rise and shine, seize the day, grab the bull by the horns, giddy up, make it happen, make it so number one, get up and get crackin’!!

Or, stumble around, semi-stub your toe, fumble the press pot, turn the stove on, pour the hot brown liquid down your gullet, and s l o w l y come to consciousness and question why it takes so much longer to “come to” these days.

Either scenario, we’ve got MORE sunshine head. I mean, if there’s one thing we can all appreciate, despite the occasional Carrington Event or other potential solar-flare-based catastrophe, our star is incredibly shelf stable, better than any of those Entenmann’s glazed pastry struedel cakes if you ask me!

I’m going with Sun any day of the week for stability! Go Sun!!

WEATHER SUMMARY (FINALLY)
–Very cold still this morning, with temps in the low to mid 20s, and if I’m not mistaken, a few upper teens readings snuck in there too! Let me know what lows you saw.
–We have some patchy fog at Pittsfield and Hartford, which means freezing fog, which means some slick spots are possible, so watch your surfaces
–A giant positively-oriented, southwest-to-northeast leaning tube of high pressure stretches from New England down into the Deep South
–Southeast of this tube is a coastal low being carefully and thoroughly escorted out to sea to our south
–As this tube tracks east, we get into a more southwesterly flow which will induce The Mildening early to mid week, and this will make us happy… Happiness will overspread the land like hot maple syrup on your morning oatmeal… just as a thickened black vinegar syrup glides over a delicious steaming rice congee, will happiness spread, OMG, you have no idea! Just wait, trust me…
–Highs will rise into the low to mid 50s today, with lows hovering either side of the freezing mark, so not as anomalously cold as the past several nights
–Clear skies should reveal the Cosmos and all its beauty
–For Monday, wouldn’t you know it, MORE STAR SHINE FOR EVERYBODY, yes!
–And more warmth, too, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, though more like mid 50s in SVT. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s overnight
–Tuesday is the pick of the week folks, as highs should soar into the upper 50s to mid 60s with tons of Sun!
–Lows will likely settle to either side of 40º
–Wednesday is another Monday repeat with sunshine, highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and lows in the 30s to near 40º
–Thursday starts to see some more sky moisture work in for more of a partly sunny day with highs in the 50s, lows in the 30s
–Friday into Saturday turns inclement, especially Friday night and Saturday, when a northern stream storm will wind up near the Great Lakes and shear out, sending its warm front towards us with periods of showers, some heavy on Saturday
–Sunday looks nicer at the moment, but the early next week period may see another coastal storm develop along that sheared frontal boundary off the east coast, and enough cold air may be present to produce some hilltown snowfall by Monday or Tuesday, so stay tuned for updates on that piece
–Our perfect, dry sunny weather in New England can never last forever, but hey, it’s been a GREAT stretch, the likes of which we haven’t seen for a good long while around here, so let’s appreciate it while it’s here
