Western Mass Weather for November 30, 2018

BLACK ICE POSSIBLE IN SPOTS TONIGHT DUE TO SNOW SHOWER MOISTURE ON ROADS… WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES POSTED FOR S.VT. EXCEPT EASTERN WINDHAM COUNTY (BRATTLEBORO)…
(8:45pm Fri)

Good evening everybody, with snow showers and rain showers having passed through the region, and no real wind or drying to speak of, some roads, sidewalks and driveways will develop patches of black ice, and I imagine some already have become icy.

Have some awareness when out and about tonight, as lows will continue to drop into the 20s.

For tomorrow, we’re partly to mostly sunny with highs in the mid to upper 30s, but our well-advertised storm system will be pushing into the region tomorrow night and starting as some snow, sleet and freezing rain in the high snow-packed terrain of SVT, as well as some high-elevations of Berkshire County and the western hilltowns, and MAYBE parts of Litchfield County in NW.CT.

Rain and mixed precip moves in southwest to northeast starting around 7pm or so tomorrow night in northwest CT, and then should end by around sunset tomorrow, with a few showers lingering past then.

Highs will be in the 40s on Sunday, and the low 50s on Monday!! Monday will be the best day we see for a while, as we dip back down into the 30s for highs through next weekend.

Yes, the week still looks dry for the moment, and yes it still looks like a substantial snow storms is possible for next weekend. The mid-week coastal system is off the table for now.

Have a great night!
