We’ll need a “good morning” ’cause babies it’s cold outside! It’ll be even colder than this by this time tomorrow morning, and chilly throughout the rest of the week and weekend. A Sunday coastal storm will also need to be watched, but before we jump into the details below, please check out a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, who just opened a new location in West Springfield, MA.

A NOTE FROM OUR SPONSOR:
DHTWN Is Sponsored by Members, Patrons & Tandem Bagel Company: No matter the weather, Tandem Bagel is always there for you at several valley locations to make your mornings brighter! SUMMARY:
–We’re pretty quiet in the weather department over the next several days
–The biggest news is that the coldest air of the incoming cold season is now overspreading the region behind last night’s cold frontal passage
–Some patchy fog has formed this morning, and with temps in the upper 20s to low 30s, watch out for a few slick spots
–Fog will burn off, and high pressure will dominate, creating mostly sunny skies with a light west wind, and highs in the mid to upper 40s across the region, with highs only in the low to mid 40s in southern VT east into the Keene area
–Some clouds will build up in SVT, and we can’t rule out a few snow showers late afternoon or early evening in the last vestiges of a weak lake effect event
–Tonight winds will die down, skies will be clear, and it will be dry, so radiational cooling will maximize and lows will plummet into the middle 20s for most of us, with some upper 20s in northern CT and out toward Worcester, and lows 20s in the southern Greens
–A hard freeze gonna come, folks, so people get ready
–Patchy freezing fog is possible overnight as well
–Thursday is a repeat of today, in terms of sky cover and temperature, as Autumn takes a firm seat across the region
–Lows will be in the mid to upper 20s under partly cloudy skies
–Friday and Saturday are broken records as continued high pressure, sunshine, and cool conditions produce 40s for highs and 20s for lows into early Sunday morning
–Sunday could feature some more clouds, as a storm tries to work up the coast, and should it get close enough, some mixed rain and snow would be possible across the Worcester highlands down into northeast CT, but it likely stays out to sea. Still, I’ll keep an eye on it
–Highs will be in the 45-50º range
–It looks like next week will feature a Mildening of sorts, with temps coming up more firmly into the 50s for highs, maybe even approaching 60º later in the week, but aside from Sunday’s potential, no storms in sight at the moment

Have a great day!
