SNOW CONTINUES THIS MORNING, EVEN INTO VALLEY LOCATIONS, ALONG WITH SOME AREAS OF RAIN… HOW MIUCH SNOW DO YO HAVE WHERE YOU LIVE? WHAT ARE CURRENT CONDITIONS, AND HOW ARE ROADS WAYS? (6:35am Tues)
Good morning everybody, it’s still snowing for many as you can see in the attached radar image adjusted for precipitation type (blue means snow).
Another coating up to a couple of inches is possible this morning as snow will continue into the late morning hours and then slowly lift north out of WMass. It may linger in S.VT and SW.NH for longer.
How much snow do you ahve where you live? Please post pics, sky and road condition reports, and amounts below.
I have heard that Woodford, VT has close to a foot of snow! I bet there’s a number of 6″+ amounts out in the high terrain above 1500 and especially above 2000 feet, please let me know.
SUMMARY
–Snow and rain quits by about noon in the region, and may linger a bit longer for high terrain areas, as well as north of the Rt. 2 corridor
–Winds shift to the west and southwest as drier air starts to work into the region today from south to north
–Winds will gust 20-30mph today, and highs will be in the mid 30s to low 40s
–Additional afternoon snow and rain showers are possible in the Berkshires and high terrain as a shortwave moves through the flow, while valley areas tend to dry and stay mostly cloudy
–We will be mostly cloudy tonight with lows either side of the freezing mark
–For Wednesday, upper level energy moves into northern New England bringing the chance for more high terrain snow showers, with a few rain showers possible in the valley, highs in the mid 30s to low 40s
–Northwest winds will gust over 30mph at times, as the upper level storm starts to pull out to our north and east
–Thursday and Friday look sunny with highs either side of 40 degrees, and lows upper 20s to low 30s
–Saturday starts dry, but finishes wet with more rain moving in overnight and into the first half of Sunday
–Monday looks dry and sunny, but another storm is possible by mid week, we just can’t shake this stormy pattern we’re in.
