Good morning everybody, we’ve got a chilly day ahead, but one that should provide for ample sunshine, at least into the afternoon before some high clouds work in from the west as moisture increases ahead of our next frontal boundary.

A strong 1034 millibar high pressure system is pushing through New England, with its center passing off of the Mid-Atlantic coastline, a roaming pressure bulge floating over the fish, off to some faraway place to grow, dissipate, morph, stagnate, or do whatever it is that energy does over time.

We’ll see highs rise into the low to mid 40s, and winds will become light out of the south as the high passes east of our longitude. This will introduce more moisture, so clouds will build in the afternoon.

For tonight, it’ll be mostly cloudy with highs either side of the freezing mark. Dry surface air likely keeps us that way, but we can’t rule out a bit of drizzle or isolated light mixed shower activity in the early morning hours of Sunday.

For Sunday, clouds thicken ahead of our incoming cold frontal boundary, which doesn’t looks as moisture-laden as we get closer to its passage.

Highs will be milder, reaching the upper 40s to low 50s with some showers moving around or just after sunset and lasting overnight and into Monday morning. Anywhere from a quarter to half inch of rain is possible, and lows will hang in the low 40s.

Monday morning showers should clear east of the WMass region by noon-ish, and we should see drying conditions and colder begin to work into the region later Monday afternoon.

Highs will crest into the mid 40s to low 50s, but after the front passes, winds will turn northwest and gust to 25mph at times, and temps will drop, landing in the low to mid 20s for lows Monday night under partly cloudy skies.

A second storm earlier this past week that looked to cause potential mischief is going to develop way too far east of us going into Tuesday, but its effect will be to really pull the coldest air of the new cold season through New England Tuesday and Wednesday.

We’ve got a super sweet 4-day dry stretch from Tuesday to Friday to look forward to, the timing of which couldn’t be more perfect for Thanksgiving holiday!

But it will be COLD Tuesday and Wednesday, with highs in the low to upper 30s for Tuesday and lows in the upper teens to low 20s, followed by highs in the upper 30s to low 40s Wednesday with lows in the 20s.

At least it will be bone dry and we’ll have plenty of sunshine to enjoy!

Thanksgiving Day couldn’t be more perfect: dry, sunny, milder, highs upper 40s to low 50s, lows near freezing, dry at night.

Even Friday looks mostly sunny and seasonable.

Have a great day, folks, and if I can be blunt, please buy my 2022 Weather Calendar before the sale ends tomorrow night, as they’re great holiday gifts, have great regional photos (the best crop yet, I believe) and lots more good stuff, click the link to see what else you’ll get, or to order, thanks!
