Good morning everybody, the anticipated scattered snow showers last night turned into a steadier and more robust band coating the ground and producing some slippery travel in spots this morning, so watch out as you head out.

For today, that snow band has retreated south and west and is currently over the Catskills Mountains of southeast NY, and will abate even there this morning.

For us, northwest winds will gust 15-25mph and highs will only be in the upper 20s to mid 30s under mostly sunny skies as a full Winter day and night arrives, thanks to high pressure building in from the west and our departing upper level trough which lifts out of the region by tomorrow.

Wind chills will be in the upper singles to teens early this morning, to the upper teens to mid 20s this afternoon. Lowest readings in the Berkshires and SVT mountains, highest readings in the Pioneer Valley and points south and east.

For tonight, temps plummet into the mid to upper teens as high pressure moves in and wind becomes still. Some clouds will be around, which will hold temps from dropping even further!

For Thursday, temps come up into the low to mid 40s under partly sunny skies on a southerly wind gusting up to 20mph or so during the day as the high scoots east and out to sea. Lows will be in the low to mid 30s.

For Friday, we really milden right up, with highs well into the 50s under partly sunny skies, with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s.

Saturday is the weekend pick with highs in the low to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies, and lows in the mid 30s.

By Sunday, another storm system will be approaching from the west, but should hold off with any rainfall until late Sunday night or Monday morning.

It’ll be mostly cloudy with highs in the 45-50º range and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s with a shower possible late.

By early next week, we’ll get some showers in here with a mild Monday, and then a much cooler Tuesday as we head towards Thanksgiving Day, which may feature a few showers, so stay tuned for that updated forecast.

Hope you have a great day, and be sure to check out my 2021 Weather Calendar below (sale ends this Sunday), thank you!
