Good morning folks, we’re starting off in the mid 20s to mid 30s with wind chills in the upper teens to upper 20s! Brrrr!!! It’ll be a blustery day, but fair, and quite cold tonight.

We’ve got more storm potential on the horizon, and a one-day return to early Autumn temperature-wise, but before we jump into all of the details below, I’ve got a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, who just opened a new location in West Springfield, MA.

A NOTE FROM OUR SPONSOR:
DHTWN Is Sponsored by Members, Patrons & Tandem Bagel Company: No matter the weather, Tandem Bagel is always there for you at several valley locations to make your mornings brighter! WEATHER BULLETIN:
–A blustery day lies ahead with partly sunny skies and cold highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s and westerly winds gusting up to 25mph at times
–This wind is thanks to high pressure to our south-southwest near Virginia and low pressure in Atlantic Canada creating a pressure gradient enough to foster today’s gusty breezes
–High pressure moves closer tonight, causing winds to slacken and skies to clear.
–This maximizes radiational cooling and lows drop to the low to mid 20s
–Wednesday will see more clouds than sun overall, as a warm front starts to approach from the west
–Highs will be a bit milder, but still only 45-50º, with lows either side of 40º under mostly cloudy skies
–For Thursday, we enter the warm sector with much milder temps, with highs rising into the mid 50s to mid 60s from high terrain to the Pioneer Valley, and some folks from Springfield south to Hartford may even see some upper 60s! Soak it up, because it ain’t gonna last!
–A sharp cold front swings through at night, and brings a widespread #SluggaRain which may end as some snow in the hilltowns and Berkshires/SVT before dawn on Friday with lows in the low to mid 30s
–Any rain and snow showers clear out early, and cold air advection recommences, with highs on Friday only in the upper 30s to mid 40s with developing sunshine, and lows in the 20s
–All weekend long our highs will be in the low to mid 40s, but Saturday is the weekend pick with mostly sunny skies expected, and much more in the way of clouds for Sunday
–Saturday night lows will be in the 20s, and either side of freezing for Sunday night
–Then we have to watch for another storm system combining with an upper low over the Great Lakes for the late Sunday night into Tuesday period for more potential storminess, with rain and snow, so stay tuned for updates!

Have a great day!
