Good morning everybody, I want offer a moment of remembrance this morning for the brave souls, still here and departed, who served and who continue to serve to protect our country.
As for our weather, it’s kinda damp out there this morning, and foggy in spots, with fog reported in Worcester County and in Westfield at the 7am airport observations.
Temps are mainly in the upper 40s to low 50s with cloudy skies, though some sunny breaks are developing over the northern Taconics and southern VT.
For the rest of the day, partly sunny skies will develop from northwest to southeast with a light southeast flow turning south, and highs rising into the low to mid 70s.
For tonight, as higher humidity starts to work into the region on a southerly flow, lows will only dip into the upper 50s, and widespread areas of patchy fog will be possible overnight.
On Tuesday, high pressure finally gets southeast of us enough to turn into a southwesterly heat pump, allowing for mostly sunny skies, and temps rising well into the 80s, along with increasing humidity. Lows will be in the low 60s.
On Wednesday, highs again will be well into the 80s with mostly sunny skies and humid conditions, though not oppressive humidity, thankfully. Lows will be in the low to mid 60s.
Thursday will provide a peak of humidity, with dew point temps in the 60s and high temps in the 80s under increasingly cloudier skies. By later in the afternoon we could see some isolated showers or thunderstorms form in an increasingly unstable environment advecting into the region from the west. Lows will be in the 60s with scattered showers about.
On Friday, a cold front sweeps into the region, and brings with it periods of showers, downpours and thunderstorms, and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. These will last into Friday night with lows in the 50s.
By Saturday, despite a morning shower or some early clouds, parlty to mostly sunny skies will be developing in a drying and cooler northwesterly flow with highs in the low to mid 70s both days.
Have a great day and continue to stay healthy…
