———————————————–
Good evening everybody, breezy conditions this evening across the Berkshires have developed as a disturbance moves through the region, which was responsible for some of our snow showers in the high terrain today.
Details like to be jumped into. I know this because they told me. They confide in me, the details do.
SUMMARY
–For tonight, snow showers generally wane, but some more are developing east of Lake Ontario
–A few more possible overnight and into tomorrow morning
–Westerly winds may gust 20-30mph at times tonight, especially over the high terrain, and then slacken after midnight
–Lows plummet one last time into the single digits
–These could be the lowest temps we see until next Winter, so really soak ’em up folks!!
–Tomorrow is gorgeous, mostly sunny, highs in the low to mid 30s, and lows in the teens
–Saturday is even nicer! Thanks high pressure!
–Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s, with lows in the 20s as clouds build into the region
–Low pressure will track northeast through the Great Lakes and float a warm front through our region after midnight during the pre-dawn hours of Sunday morning
–Snow may break out across the region between 4am-7am, and it will be cold out
–This will allow snow to accumulate a coating to 2″ across much of the region, and possibly 2-4″ in SVT, the western hilltowns, northern Berkshires and SWNH during Sunday morning
–Dry air will be racing behind this system, and should cut off steady precip by early afternoon
–Warmer air aloft will try and turn the snow to sleet and freezing rain by late morning, and then rain showers and drizzle by Sunday afternoon
–Any rain showers may turn back to snow showers Sunday night
–This isn’t a huge storm, but it could impact Sunday morning travel for sure, so please stay tuned
–Next week looks milder, especially the second half of the week, but I’m going to stay focused on the Sunday system for now, and then expand on next week in one of Saturday’s reports.
I hope you have a great night, and please note that the 2019 Annual Support Drive ends THIS Sunday.

SUMMARY:
–Good morning everybody, we’ve got very cold day ahead, and even colder night.
–Bundle up as you head out the door for sure!
–With a disturbance moving through the region today, scattered snow showers will be expected, especially in the Berkshires
–One more very cold night is in store tonight before high pressure passes to our east putting us in a milder flow as move through the weekend into next week
–Any snow showers will dissipate tonight after the sun sets
–Friday is mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s, but clouds will increase at night
–A few snow showers will be possible in northern CT, but a Clipper low should pass to our south and keep much if not all of its snow out of our region
–Saturday is the pick of the next several days, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 30s to near 40 degrees, with lows in the 20s as clouds increase
–Snow breaks out across the region on Sunday mid to late morning, and some light accumulations will be possible
–Thereafter, a change to sleet and freezing rain, and then rain will occur in the afternoon and evening as a storm passes northwest of our region
–I am still watching for the potential for an extended period of ice in SVT and the high terrain of northwest MA so stay stuned
–Milder weather is on the way next week, though it won’t be warm by any stretch. Highs in the upper 30s to low to mid 40s are expected with plenty of snow melting with mild temps combined with the higher March sun angle
