MORNING REPORT:
Good morning everybody, that Spring-timey round of boomers last night definitely got the attention of the folks underneath them, especially with that blueberry-sized hailer that ran through Easthampton and Florence, with other areas getting hail, too.

Fortunately, they were fast movers, and didn’t seem to contain any damaging wind, though please let me know if you saw any tree/limb/property damage overnight – I did have some concern for the central/northern Berkshires into northern Hampshire and Franklin Counties for wind.

For this morning, MORE FOG. It’s dense in spots, too, at a quarter mile or less in visibility.

This fog will be mostly concentrated in the CT River Valley and points east, and should lift by mid to late morning, revealing a…. mostly cloudy day with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s or so.

We have an area of moisture and slightly unsettled conditions well west of us currently, which will be drifting through the region this evening.

As it does, it will kick up some rain and snow showers over the Taconics, Litchfields, Berkshires, SVT and the western hilltowns. Some should also spill through the valley into CMass, northern CT and southwest NH, but any snowflakes would fly west of the CT River at elevation, I believe.

Could the southern Greens see a coating on grassy surfaces? It’s possible, but this shouldn’t amount to much.

Lows will drop into the low to mid 30s with MORE patchy fog possible tomorrow morning.

Monday and Tuesday are a pair of early Spring winners, with mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 40s to low 50s, but it’ll be blustery with northwest gusts developing being the trough’s passage to our east.

Gusts will blow up to 30mph at times. Lows both nights under partly cloudy skies will dip into the mid 20s to low 30s.

For Wednesday, we should start off with fair weather, and with partly sunny skies should see highs only get up into the mid to upper 40s.

Clouds will be increasing during the day, and first showers should arrive sometime in the evening, though the timing of onset will surely need adjustment as we get closer.

There will be some chilly air nearby, and lows should drop into the low to mid 30s which could produce some sleet or freezing rain along/north of the Rt. 2 corridor later at night, before we flip to plain rain Thursday morning.

Thursday morning looks showery at the moment, with rains lessening in coverage by afternoon sometime, with highs reaching the mid to upper 40s. Some showers are still possible at night with lows in the mid 30s.

Friday into next weekend looks a bit milder, with temps coming up into the 50s, but we may still be under the influence of an upper level system for Friday into Saturday which could keep some clouds and showers around with breaks of sunshine.

The early call is for Sunday to be next weekend’s pick, but that uncertain future is a ways off, which we’ll deal with as we get closer.

Have a great day, and remember…
