Good morning everybody, now that The Bulletization Mobile(TM) has awakened from its drunken stupor over the past year, it finally remembers where I live, and wouldn’t you know it, happened to snap me out of a sound sleep this morning, so bulleted lists below it is, UNCLE, TBM, UNCLE!!!

SUMMARY
–Snow totals came in an inch or two more than expected yesterday for some, but were in line for others, with the big missed estimate being up in SVT and SWNH and bordering northern MA towns where more of a 4-7″ snowfall resulted
–For this morning, we have freezing fog to deal with, along with black ice on untreated surfaces, so be aware of slick spots when traveling
–As temps come up, fog will lift, and improvements will be on the way
–Highs will reach the 40s to low 50s today from north to south, and partly to mostly sunny skies will develop
–Winds will be light westerly, and lows tonight will drop into the 20s region-wide
–For Friday, a partly sunny day arrives with highs in the 45-50º range, so The Meltening is on the way #SnowBeGone
–Clouds will be thickening overnight as a rapidly developing storm system pulls northeast out of the Deep South, and races along the southeast flank of a positively-tilted upper trough dipping into the eastern Great Lakes
–This storm will drop 20mb in 12 hours from Appalachia up into the Gulf of Maine on Saturday afternoon, undergoing bombogenesis and creating a moderate to heavy rainfall in our region that starts Saturday morning
–Much colder air will be poised on the northwest side of this system, ready to be swept and pulled in and eastward through our region Saturday afternoon and evening
–We’ll have to see how much of the precipitation shield is left by the time the colder air moves in at all levels and flips over to snow
–However, the best chance for substantial accumulations is in the northern Berkshires, western hilltowns and southern VT in the Green Mountains where over half a foot may fall
–South and east of there, we could see a coating to a few inches
–As the storm rips over southeast MA, deepening the whole way, a wind shift will come out of the north and west, and gusts could reach 30-50mph for a time as air rushes in toward the departing low center
–Those with heavy wet snow on tree limbs and lines may have power issues
–Cold air gets pulled through the region after midnight into Sunday morning, when wind chills are expected to to below zero for a time!
–Then Sunday looks blustery and cold with highs in the upper 20s to mid 30s under sunny skies with lows in the low 20s
–Next week looks fair, sunnier, and more early spring-like with highs in the mid 40s to low 50s and no storms in sight

Please stay tuned for updates on our incoming Saturday storm which looks to feature powerful dynamics, and could produce issues with wind in terms of outages and/or property damage.

PLEASE KEEP ME AS YOUR STORM SHERPA…
I hope I’ve proven myself worthy of your support over the past 9 years, even if it’s around $10+/year or $2+/month, it all helps.
