Good evening everybody, to start off re: the possible late-week coastal storm, it’s a low chance for now so there is no real reason to discuss further than to say multiple pieces of guidance currently show it further offshore.

Given our northwest track at this range this season, it’s in the “right” location to bring it closer to us, because as of now it’s out to sea with only light impacts here, if any.

Needless to say, I will continue to watch it and keep you updated through this upcoming week.

For tonight, clear skies early will drop temps into the mid to upper teens before a warm front approaches late, and spreads southerly flow and moisture into the region.

This should produce some scattered light snow showers overnight into early Monday morning, with little to no accumulation expected.

For Monday, highs will soar into the upper 40s to low 50s under partly sunny skies. Clouds will again tomorrow evening as a second warm front approaches and pushes into the region.

This will produce a few more rain showers overnight, but they should be light. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30s.

Tuesday will bring mostly cloudy skies with very mild temps. Highs will reach the low to mid 50s, producing the mildest day this week.,

The cloud deck will thicken as a low center will eject northeast out of the middle of the country and bring a more widespread rainfall Tuesday night into early Wednesday morning. The sun will break out later on Wednesday with highs 45-50 degrees and lows near freezing.

A cold front passes through the region, and high pressure builds in from the northwest, but temps should still remain in the 40s under mostly sunny skies on Thursday.

By late week, we have to watch two storm systems that will try to phase and get together off of the east coast. It’s not worth discussing at this point, but it is the best potential set up for a winter storm in quite some time, so I will be on it like a hawk, whether it dissipates to nothing or turns into a plowable snowstorm for the WMass region.
