THE REMNANTS OF TROPICAL STORM CRISTOBAL WILL BLAST NORTH THROUGH THE WESTERN GREAT LAKES AND INTO HUDSON BAY, CANADA THIS WEEK, WHICH WILL HELP TO INVIGORATE A COLD FRONTAL PASSAGE THAT BRINGS DOWNPOURS ON THURSDAY… UNTIL THEN, WE’RE MOSTLY SUNNY, DRY, AND INCREASINGLY WARM THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING… FRIDAY LOOKS DRY AS WELL, WITH MORE SHOWERS AND STORMS POSSIBLE OVER THE WEEKEND WITH HUMID CONDITIONS… (7:20am Monday)
Good morning everybody, we’re still hurtling through the Cosmos together, paired at the hip with our star which will present in its full resplendent yellow-white light on this day. Allow me to summarize…
SUMMARY
–Any early morning isolated patches of fog will burn off quickly this morning
–A big ol’ knob of high pressure is southwardly-dipped from Canada through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes and will slowly push east with time
–This will produce sunny skies today with highs in the low to upper 70s across the region with lighter northwest winds
–For tonight, calm and clear skies will foster lows down into the low 50s with continued low humidity
–Tomorrow a light west wind will combine with mostly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s to produce a gorgeous late-Spring day
–Southwest flow starts up Tuesday night and lows will only bottom out around 60 degrees
–Humidity starts to increase on Wednesday with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s
–Southwest winds are expected to pick up and gust over 30mph at times between departing high pressure out to sea, and an incoming cold front and area of lower pressure
–A few showers are possible Wednesday night with lows in the mid 60s
–A cold front moves through the region on Thursday and will produce a period of showers with highs near 80º
–A thunderstorm can’t be ruled out, either, and lows are expected to drop to near 60 degrees with a few showers possible
–Brief area of high pressure builds through Friday with highs in the low 80s under mostly sunny skies, and lows near 60 degrees
–The weekend looks unsettled, humid and cooler with highs only in the 70s
–For now, expect periods of scattered showers and thunderstorms, and this may last into early next week
Wish I had better news on the sky water front, but I don’t see any big rainstorms, although Thursday could produce a few downpours. Summah lovahs are also getting left out, as there are no big heat waves in sight, as the Bermuda high hasn’t been able to set up shop off of the east coast so far this year.
