FABULOUS FAIR WEATHER LASTS ONE MORE DAY BEFORE MUGGIFICATION ACTIVITIES COMMENCE WITH VIGOR AND VIM AS HUMIDITY INCREASES FRIDAY, WITH HEAT THEN JOINING THE SOUPY PARTY SATURDAY INTO SUNDAY… HEAT WAVE BEGINS FOR SOME ON SUNDAY AND LASTS THROUGH MID WEEK… AFTERNOON ISOLATED/SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE EACH DAY FROM THIS WEEKEND THROUGH MUCH OF NEXT WEEK, BUT MANY OF US WILL STAY DRY… SUMMER COMETH… AND FULL STRAWBERRY MOON TONIGHT, HOORAY! (6:55AM THURS)
Good morning everybody, my lungs are still breathing, my synapses are still firing, my fingers are still tapping, my legs are still twitching, and the double–dashes are still pleading to be employed liberally and with abandon, and so I surrender to the Will of the Salient Bulleted Daily Weather Points (WOTSBDWPs for short?), so here goes!
SUMMAHRY
–Baby it’s cold outside!
–Many temps in the 40s, and some flirting with the upper 30s – in late June! That ain’t nice (although I love it)!
–We rebound sharply today, as that high-angle star shine reaches about a 70º angle, and kicks temps in the butt, with highs in the 75-80º range
–Mostly sunny skies, high press cresting east and southeast of us, LOW humidity for one more day and night (insert sadness-based sniff here), and light southerly wind make for another perfect summer day, if you ask me
–Lows tonight will be cool again, but not as much as last night
–We’ll drop into the upper 40s to low 50s generally speaking with clouds increasing east of I-91 later at night
–An isolated shower could occur anywhere on Friday morning, but best chance for sure is east of I-91, and especially in northeasternmost CT into southern Worcester County, and maybe grazing Wales, Holland and Brimfield in Hampden Cty
–This is due to weak low pressure bobbing north toward southeast MA
–Clouds will break up by Friday afternoon, and possibly earlier
–We’ll call it a partly sunny day for tomorrow with highs in the upper 70s to low 80s and increasing humidity during the afternoon and evening, with lows in the upper 50s to low 60s
–On Saturday, The Warmening continues with highs in the low to mid 80s and increasing humidity with dewpoints in the 60s
–We could see an afternoon shower or thunderstorm, but nothing looks like it will be severe or all that impactful at the moment
–Muggy lows will only reach the mid to upper 60s resulting in soupy sleep for some
–The Sunday through Wednesday period looks to the hottest of the upcoming stretch, but to be clear, it’s not going to be as hot as our first heat wave
–Highs should generally be in the mid 80s to low 90s from high terrain to low through this period, with Monday looking like the hottest day
–Skies will generally be partly sunny on average (some sunnier periods at times), and it will be very humid with each afternoon featuring some isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms
–None of these storms look severe, but some downpours are possible, so street flooding here and there could be an issue… that’s the biggest threat I see
–Our Bermuda high in the western Atlantic and upper level trough over the Great Lakes doesn’t budge much into the late week with similar conditions expected
–By 4th of July weekend, we may see an increase in showers as that trough may push into our region, and squash the Bermuda high further south, possibly cooling us down, and wettening the ground
Stay tuned for updates, and have an awesome day!
