The hills are alive with birds!

It’s good when Life is Good!

It might be time for a Feta Frittata after this!

What the heck am I writing about and where’s the weather report!

SUMMARY
–Dewpoints have come down into the mid 50s to low 60s, so it’s more tolerable out there this morning
–With light west wind, highs will rise well into the 80s and a few spots may reach 90º
–It should be mostly sunny thanks to a small ridge moving through the region
–However, some clouds will build in the afternoon, and with some decent instability, we could see an ororgraphically-induced isolated thunderstorm develop across the Berkshires or western hilltowns
–“Orographic enhancement” refers to the fact that mountains force air to rise by making air travel upward due to their presence
–For tonight, skies should be partly cloudy with lows in the mid 60s, while dewpoint temps rise to oppressive levels by noon on Monday (upper 60s to low 70s), and likely earlier than noon as moisture from Claudette’s remains surges northeast into the WMass region
–Monday will be the hottest day of this stretch, with highs temps reaching the upper 80s to low 90s under mostly sunny skies, and it will be quite humid
–By evening we should see enough instability develop combined with building moisture and decent wind shear, that we could see some strong thunderstorms develop with gusty winds possible
–Lows will drop into the low to mid 60s, and patchy fog may develop along with some heavier showers overnight as the influence of the cold front starts to work east towards our region after midnight
–Tuesday looks showery ahead of the cold front sweeping into our area, and much cooler with highs in the upper 60s to upper 70s from northwest to southeast across the region
–Northwest winds may gust over 20mph later in the afternoon as the front swings through, as drier air arrives
–By Tuesday night, final showers exit the region, and lows plummet into the upper 40s to mid 50s as fresh air advects into the region
–A 3-day sunny stretch (hay making!) arrives Wednesday through Friday, with drier conditions Wednesday and Thursday with humidity returning Friday and Saturday
–Highs Wednesday will be in the 70s, mid 70s to low 80s on Thursday and low to mid 80s Friday
–Lows will be in the 50s Wednesday and Thursday nights, and rising into the low 60s by Friday night as humidity resurges by then
–The weekend generally looks unsettled, with scattered showers and thunderstorms each day with highs in the 80s

Have a great day!
