Western Mass Weather for June 10, 2020

[HUMIDITY RETURNS, BUILDING TONIGHT AND TOMORROW… A FEW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE THIS EVENING AND TONIGHT… BETTER CHANCE OF SHOWERS, DOWNPOURS, AND A COUPLE OF THUNDERSTORMS FOR THURSDAY WITH VERY MUGGY CONDITIONS… FRIDAY LOOKS WARM BUT DRIER… SHOWER CHANCES INCREASE SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY… ONSHORE FLOW AND ANOTHER SYSTEM MAY INTERACT TO KEEP US IN SCATTERED SHOWERS EARLY TO MID NEXT WEEK… 7:25AM WED]

Good morning everybody, a warm front will be slowly pushing north and east into our region with time tonight and tomorrow.

This will cause our humidity levels to go up, and peak out tomorrow/Thursday.

For today, we should enjoy partly to mostly sunny skies during the first part of the day, with some more clouds by afternoon and evening. Some of those clouds may drop a few showers here and there.

Highs today should reach the low 80s for many of us, with a southeast wind gusting over 20mph at times.

As the warm front moves through, humidity increases overnight into Thursday, with dewpoints rising well into the 60s. This will help produce some scattered showers and thunderstorms overnight tonight, with lows in the mid to upper 60s… not great sleeping weather!

For Thursday into Thursday evening, we’re into a deep, muggy/southerly flow with periods of showers and thunderstorms. Highs will be in the upper 70s and lows drill drop into the 55-60º range.

We’ll get a brief ridge of high pressure to wedge into the region and provide a mostly sunny Friday for us, with lower humidity and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Lows Friday night will dip into the upper 50s.

Saturday looks like the pick of the weekend for sure, with a few showers possible but partly to mostly sunny skies expected as a ridge of high pressure builds through the region. Highs will be in the 70s with lows in the 50s, and a spot shower is possible in the high terrain for Saturday.

The period of Sunday into the middle of next week looks unsettled. A combination of onshore flow thanks to a semi-stationary high pressure cell over Atlantic Canada, and a system bobbing north up the coast as the week wears on could keep scattered showers in the forecast for each day through Wednesday.

Here’s hoping as we need the rain!

May The Force Be With All of You.
