Good morning peoples, it’s a pleasant morning with dewpoints in the upper 50s to low 60s, and temps in the low to mid 60s in general to start the day.
Listen, let’s be clear about something: you like double-dashes, I like double-dashes, and if we’re being honest with ourselves, I think we can admit right here and now that EVERYBODY likes double-dashes. And if you don’t like double-dashes, you will come to love them in time. They’re irresistible, really, and they’re good for you. So, hey, here’s a heaping plate full of them this morning!
SUMMAH-RY
–Our cold front responsible for thundery outcomes last evening over parts of southeastern VT, southwestern NH and northeastern Worcester County is down near the south coast
–This will allow for mostly sunny skies to develop today with highs in the mid to upper 80s with more tolerable dewpoint temps and humidity for a day
–We can’t rule out a shower or a storm generally south of the MA/CT line in northern CT and points south and east
–Tonight, lows will drop into the lower 60s, and some clouds will increase as our frontal boundary returns northward as a warm front
–As the front slowly meanders northward on Tuesday, it will help to produce a mostly cloudy day with a few scattered showers or possibly a thunderstorm possible
–Highs will only reach the mid to upper 70s on Tuesday, and lows will dip into the mid to upper 60s with a few showers possible as the warm front passes through the region, with patchy fog late
–Wednesday will become significantly more humid with dewpoints well into the 60s to near 70, while high temps reach the mid 80s to low 90s under partly sunny skies
–Scattered showers and thunderstorms are also expected in the more unstable environment in the afternoon and evening
–Lows will only bottom out in the mid to upper 60s with additional showers and downpours possible in the moist flow
–For Thursday, our hottest day of the week arrives with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s, more humid conditions, and more scattered showers, downpours and thunderstorms in the afternoon under partly sunny skies
–Thursday night is again humid, warm and wet with lows in the mid to upper 60s
–The Friday to Saturday timeframe is looking uncertain at the moment, due to confusion around the timing of arrival for a coastal storm system
–This will bring more showers and thunderstorms during the late week period through the weekend with highs in the 80s and lows in the 60s
–However, timing will need to be refined as we get closer
More summer weather is on the way, but it does look like the heat wave threat has decreased for now, but I will keep you updated.
I hope you have an epiphany today that helps you in your life’s next steps…
