Western Mass Weather for July 24, 2021

SWEET SATURDAY, SHOWERY AND THUNDERY SUNDAY, MUGGY MONDAY AND TUESDAY, WARMER WEDNESDAY, PERIODS OF RAIN, PERIODS OF SUN, BUT MORE SUN THAN RAIN EXPECTED… 7:15am Saturday…

Good morning folks! Look, I get it, and I get it more than most! It’s Saturday and we ALL know what the means – it’s double dash day, and who am I to hold back, to curb, and to miserly meter out this great, deep pleasure that must be bestowed upon you all today in numbers so rich no one would believe it! I’m happy to oblige and to make all of you double dash dreams come true, right now!

SUMMARY
–Today’s a winnah! Mostly sunny, highs mid 70s to low 80s, light north wind, dry, yay (though a spot sprinkle is possible)
–Tonight starts to head down hill, with clouds building into the region as a warm front approaches
–Lows will drop into the low 60s, and some showers will move in after midnight, especially toward dawn
–Humidity will build on Sunday, and the morning looks rainy with thunderstorms mixed in as well, and some could be strong
–Highs Sunday will reach the mid to upper 70s, and even though we’ll get through the main rain shield by noon or so, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible at any point during the day
–Lows will drop into the mid 60s as showers abate with time
–After an early morning shower or some clouds, sunshine will develop on Monday
–Highs will reach the low to mid 80s with muggy conditions, but afternoon showers expected. Lows will drop into the low to mid 60s
–Tuesday and Tuesday night look like a copy of Monday and Monday night, but then a few disturbances will track through the mid to late week period
–This brings some afternoon showers and thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday with highs in the 75-80º range and lows in the low 60s each night with partly sunny skies in the daytime hours

That’s about it, folks, nothing extreme or drastic, except for a decent slug of rain Sunday morning. We don’t need more rain but at least it won’t be a deluge like what we’ve been going through.

Have a great day and enjoy this lovely Saturday!
