Good morning everybody, we’ve got another day to live, survive, and hopefully thrive. If you’re ill, I hope you feel better, and if you’re well, I hope you feel well-er!
As for our weather, there isn’t a whole lot to discuss, but we do have a couple of events on the horizone worth nothing, so let’s jump into The Bulletization Mobile(TM) and rip through some double–dashes together, shall we? Oh yes, we shall…
SUMMARY
–We start off cold this morning, with temps in the teens and 20s from north to south, with even a few single digits in southern VT
–Highs should reach the mid to upper 30s under partial sunshine, though clouds are expected to build more over CT as the day wears on, and that may bleed north over the MA/CT line as well
–We will cloud up overnight, and said clouds will hold temps up, with lows dropping into the upper 20s
–A few snow showers are possible late tonight into early Saturday morning
–For Saturday, our main storm system will be sliding off the Carolina coast and tracking northeast to Nova Scotia as it bombs out and brings a healthy snowstorm their way, especially the eastern half of NS and into western Newfoundland
–This will bring some snow showers possibly into northeast CT (but more likely southeast CT into RI and southeast MA)
–We can’t rule out a few dustings south of the Pike in northeast CT, otherwise a few snow showers are possible with mostly cloudy skies and highs 35-40 degrees… no big whoop
–Lows will drop into the 20s with a few mountain snow showers, otherwise we’re mostly cloudy
–For Sunday, guess what? More highs in the 35-40 degree range under partly to mostly cloudy skies
–Sunday night will see a warm front aloft trying to press through (see attached graphic), which may spark a period of light snow Sunday night, I will update on this over the weekend, but it doesn’t look impactful for now
–Lows will drop to near freezing
–Monday will be the pick of next week for sure, with very mild conditions as high pressure positions east of us
–Highs will reach well into the 40s, and some folks in northern CT may hit 50 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with lows near freezing
–Tuesday and Tuesday night will be repeats of Monday/Monday night, but with more clouds
–Wednesday through Friday features a couple of systems, with the first one likely being rainy by mid week, but the Thursday/Friday system may produce some wintry precip around here. It’s too early to discuss it any further, but it’s something to watch as we move into early February
Anyway, that about does it, #NoBigWhoopWeather, as I like to say on occasion.
Have a great day!
