Western Mass Weather for January 27, 2020

[WATCH FOR BLACK ICE THIS AM] MORE CLOUDS THAN SUN TODAY WITH A PASSING SNOW OR RAIN SHOWER… SUNSHINE INCREASES WITH SEASONABLY COLD TEMPS THIS WEEK, THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON… WE CONTINUE TO MONITOR STORM POTENTIAL FOR SATURDAY NIGHT INTO SUNDAY….

Good morning everybody, we’ve got a week-long spate of starry days starting tomorrow and lasting through the end of the week, beyond which we’ll watch for wintry weather potential.

For today, we’ll see more clouds than sun with a few scattered snow showers or rain showers possible. Not everyone will get rained or snowed on, and no impacts are expected.

Highs will reach the upper 30s to low 40s with a mild west flow in place, gusting to 20mph at times. Lows tonight will dip into the upper 20s.

For Tuesday through Friday, sunshine will increasingly rule with highs in the low to mid/upper 30s for today with lows in the upper teens. Brrrrrr!

Wednesday high will reach the mid to upper 30s with lows in the teens.

Thursday is similar, but maybe  a touch cooler, both for highs and lows.

Friday should also be about 35-40 degrees, with plenty of sunshine, and lows in the low 20s.

For now, Saturday looks like clouds will build in the morning and afternoon, and then we watch to see if the northern stream branch and the southern branch will phase (i.e. join together) Saturday night over the region.

You know I will keep you updated as to this development of this winter storm potential, as well as two others within the first 10 days of February.

Have a great day!
