REAL WEATHER SUMMARY:
–North winds have been gusting 15-20mph overnight
–Our air temps have gotten below zero in the northern Berkshires into SVT, the single digits in much of the rest of WMass/CMass, and low to mid teens in northern CT at 5am
–Temps may be down a little bit more when you read this, but the bottom line is – it’s quite cold!
–It’ll be sunny and cold to end the work week with highs in the mid to upper teens with light northwest wind
–For tonight, very cold once again with lows in the single digits below zero under clear skies
–We will moderate into the weekend with mostly sunny skies on Saturday and highs reaching the low to mid 20s with lows in the single digits
–For Sunday, high pressure will be south of us and allow some milder flow into the region
–Highs will reach the mid 20s to low 30s with partly sunny skies developing as a dry cold front passes through the region by evening
–Lows will drop into the mid to high single digits
–For Monday, we’ll enjoy one more mostly sunny day with highs in the low to mid 20s with lows again in the single digits
–The Tuesday/Wednesday timeframe may see a Clipper low dive southeast out of southern Canada and make a beeline for New England
–This could bring some periods of snow showers into mid week with light accumulations possible, but let’s see how things shake out as we get closer
–Highs will be in the low to mid 30s, and cold air will move back in behind that system
–Late next week looks colder with highs in the upper teens to 20s, and then that Saturday may pose another storm threat, but it’s too far out to pay any real attention to it, though I’ll keep my third eye on it
