WINTRY WEEKEND THIS WAY COMETH… DECEMBER THAW, YOU’RE ON THE BENCH… LATER-ONSET WINTER IN JANUARY, SUIT UP… (7:15am Sat)
Good morning everybody, we’ve got fair weather through the weekend and through next week, so I am just poking my nose in about about the weekend, since many of you I imagine have it off.

The top news story, is that it should be mostly sunny, with no storms to deal with.

SATURDAY
–Expect mostly sunny skies with highs in the teens over the Berkshires, and 20s in the valley
–Light northwest winds may gust to 15mph at times or so
–Lows will crash into the single digits. Hopefully my eyeballs will avoid freezing over so I can keep reporting this winter

SUNDAY
–Truly, we can expect a repeat of Saturday and Saturday night for Sunday and Sunday night. Read above, rinse and repeat, and may The Force be with you.

The pattern change into winter is underway, it appears. If I have to eat my words in two weeks, that I will do. But at the moment, the storm missing us to the south with plenty of cold air moving in is a big change from the inland cutting milder storm tracks we’ve dealt with for weeks. This should set the table for at least more cold during the second half of January, and a storm chance for next weekend.
