Good morning everybody, VERY cold start today! Many temps in the single digits, with a -1 reading in Clarksburg, MA this morning in the northern Berkshires!

For the rest of the day, we will likely remain in the 20s for highs under mostly sunny skies.

Be sure to check out the Full Snow Moon tonight! It was gorgeous last night and just set this morning.

SUMMARY
–Mostly sunny skies rule the roost today as high pressure builds east through the region. Highs will be in the low to mid 20s
–Any morning breezes in the hills subside, so wind chills won’t be as cold as they were overnight for some
–With clear skies tonight, light wind and dry air, radiational cooling will maximize and produce lows in the single digits for another very cold night
–Tomorrow we will start off mostly sunny but then cloud up as the day wears on, and could see snow breaking out across the region between 5-8pm from southwest to northeast
–We should see about a coating up to 2″ of snowfall before we quickly changeover to sleet
–This is because once again, our southeast ridge near FL and a ripping zonal Pacific jet stream will send the parent low through the Great Lakes
–A secondary low will form south of us, but too late to hold the cold air in at all levels, so to ice we change
–We will ice overnight, changing from sleet to freezing rain into very early Thursday morning
–This will affect the morning commute for folks especially in the Berkshires, Taconics, SVT, western hilltowns, and generally north of the Rt. 2 corridor, with icy roadways
–We may even change to some plain rain before it ends in the valley Thursday morning, and then milder air floods into the region
–Thursday highs will be in the low to mid 40s with southwesterly flow and drying conditions, and lows will be in the 20s
–Total liquid precip will be between a quarter inch to a half inch of water, and a tenth of an inch of that could fall as ice accretion from freezing rain
–Friday looks nice, highs near 40, lows near 20 under mostly sunny skies
–Saturday starts off mostly sunny, but clouds up as yet another in this train of slopfest storms approaches
–This one will be milder, so likely some ice to plain rain Saturday night into Sunday

Have a great day!
