Good morning everybody, we’ve got showers out there this morning, tracking quickly northeast and some of them are heavy especially east of the I-91 corridor.

WEATHER BULLETIN:
–We have patchy fog out there, along with some showers, heavy at times, tracking quickly northeast through the region, but they’ll be over by mid morning or so
–Fog will dissipate with time, and we’ll enter a lull with an isolated shower possible from late morning into the mid afternoon
–Highs will reach the low to mid 50s which won’t be enough to get widespread damaging wind gusts
–Skies will be mostly cloudy with a few breaks of sun during the lull period
–Southerly wind gusts could blow to 30mph until about 2 or 3pm, then the peak of the wind will move in ahead of the incoming cold front
–Between 3-9pm is when the wind may gust between 30mph to as much as 50mph in spots out of the south at first, and then out of the west after sunset
–A more solid batch of rainfall and showers will move into the region around/after sunset, and last the evening
–The showers may end as snow showers before the whole line tracks east
–Again, it will be windy overnight and falling temps and blustery conditions, with lows in the mid 20s to low 30s
–For Tuesday, expect a partly sunny day with highs in the 30s, and clouds thickening up later in the day, with lows in the low to mid 20s overnight
–On Wednesday, our flat-tracking storm system will likely exit the DelMarVa Peninsula, and track east-northeast, staying fairly far south of New England
–Areas south of the Rt. 2 corridor in MA, CT and RI could see a coating to 2″ of snow from this system the way it looks now, and the potential is there for it produce even less, so stay tuned for updates
–Highs on Wednesday will be plenty cold for snow, so as a snow lover, these setups are always disappointing when the cold is in place, and you don’t get the track to produce the event
–Highs will be in the low to mid 30s with lows near 20º
–On Thursday, we’ll have another Tuesday with mostly sunny skies this time, and similar temps with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s
–We’ll get into some milder flow by Friday and the weekend could become showery with highs in the 40s to low 50s, but I’m going to stay focused on today’s and Wednesday’s systems for the short term

Have a great day!
