Western Mass Weather for December 4, 2018

FAIR WEATHER AHEAD… A SLIGHT CHANCE FOR SNOW SHOWERS THURSDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY NIGHT, OTHERWISE WE ARE COLD BUT PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY THROUGH THIS WEEKEND AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK… (6:15am Tues)

Good morning everybody, our cold front has passed through the region, and we are into a new, cold, and dry pattern.

Highs will be in the 20s in the high terrain and 30s in the valley with northwest breezes for today. Lows will be in the teens, so quite cold.

Wednesday through Friday looks mostly sunny with highs in the upper 20s in the high terrain and low to mid 30s in the valley.

A cold front moves through Thursday night into Friday, which could bring some snow showers and a few coatings, but it’s nothing to gripe about.

Saturday through Monday also look partly to mostly sunny, but colder with highs only in the 20s on Saturday, and lows in the low teens. We rebound into the 30s for Sunday and Monday.

The storm track is suppressed south at this point, so it looks like this week’s mid-week storm, and the upcoming late weekend storm should be a miss.

However, I have not written off the Sunday/Monday storm yet, as it could come a little more north and graze northeast CT and parts of CMass, so stay tuned on that.

Otherwise, precipitation haters of all sorts and stripes should shouting from the mountaintops with glee regarding the next 7-10 days. Here’s hoping it sticks, and if it changes, I will let you know, though I’m not anticipating any big changes.

And, it looks like a mildening is in the cards for mid to late next week.

Have a great day…
