WEATHER BULLETIN
–Some of us enjoyed a lovely sunrise today, and if you have pics please post them!
–We’ve got a mix of clouds and breaks in the deck this morning across the region
–We’ll tend toward partly sunny conditions for a time, but high clouds are quickly streaming east toward New England ahead of a warm front that will be pushing light snow and freezing rain into our lives overnight
–Highs today will reach the low to mid 30s with clouds increasing with time
–For this evening, we should see light scattered snow and freezing rain develop ahead of the incoming warm front
–We may all start off with some light snow, and see some coatings develop before transitioning to freezing rain as milder air aloft lifts overhead
–This wintry mix will last into the early to mid morning hours tomorrow morning, and while only coatings and light ice glazes are expected, that’s all you need to create slippery travel via foot or car
–Lows tonight will dip into the upper 20s
–For Tuesday, we’ll finish up with our light showers of snow or freezing rain, and then we’ll dry things out and watch our late-2021 version of The Mildening take place behind our warm front
–Highs will reach the upper 30s to mid 40s with partly sunny skies developing
–There is a small chance we’ll get more wintry mix in here Tuesday night into Wednesday as the flat, zonal, west-east steering currents across the U.S. send more weak Pacific systems our way
–However, this system is more likely to affect areas south of the Pike down into northern CT, and there’s a chance it gets suppressed even further south, but I will update you on this potential tonight and tomorrow morning
–Regardless of what transpires, lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s, with highs on Wednesday in the upper 30s to low 40s with Wednesday night lows near freezing
–On Thursday, we could get a bit more robust system, but it looks milder, so mainly rain showers is expected with that system with highs in the low 40s
–New Year’s Even looks dry at the moment and cool with temps falling back into the 30s
–For New Year’s Day, we are looking at more wintry mix throughout the day, and if that holds, it’ll be a good day to chill out and rest up, as we begin a brand new year

Have a great day, folks!
