Western Mass Weather for December 10, 2018

COLD AND DRY WEATHER CONTINUES INTO TUESDAY NIGHT, BY WHICH TIME SOME SCATTERED SNOW SHOERS ARE POSSIBLE… BLUSTERY WEDNESDAY… PATTERN SHIFTS BY FRIDAY WITH RAIN FRIDAY NIGHT INTO SATURDAY…
(8:45am Monday)

Good morning everybody, sorry for the late report, although nothing has really changed since yesterday.

SUMMARY
–A dry cold frontal passage has moved through overnight, and some clouds linger in SVT
–Otherwise we should see mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low to mid 30s and lows in the low teens under mostly clear skies
–For Tuesday, expect mostly sunny skies as high pressure moves through with highs in the upper 20s to low 30s, with some clouds building late in the day
–A Clipper system will pass to our north Tuesday night into Wednesday morning
–This system should bring some clouds and may also produce a few scattered snow showers
–Lows Tuesday night will be in the upper teens to low 20s
–By Wednesday, the passage of that low will usher in slightly colder air for Wednesday and Thursday, and cause northwest wind gusts to reach 20mph at times
–Highs Wednesday under sunny skies will be in the upper 20s to low 30s with lows in the low teens
–Highs Thursday under sunny skies will only be in the 20s with lows in the teens
–Southwest flow develops as the jet stream lifts north by late week, and high pressure tracks southeast of our region
–Highs on Friday will crest 40 degrees under partly sunny skies, though clouds will build late
–Rain looks likely for Friday night and Saturday with highs well into the 40s on Saturday
–Partly sunny skies may return later on Sunday

Have a great day!
