HOO. RAY! 7:30AM MONDAY]

Good morning everybody, super chilly this morning with some readings in the low 40s! We can thank high pressure for sitting on us like a mother hen, calming the wind, drying the air, and clearing us out so radiational cooling could remind us that today is the last day of Meteorological Summer and that Meteorological Autumn begins tomorrow.

To that pieces of news, gleaned/rotten tomatoes can be sent to P.O. Box 153, S. Deerfield, MA 01373, such that instead of turning lemon into lemonade, I will turn impending vegetable rot infused with disdain for this unwelcome weather news (for some) into delicious, delicious sauce, a/k/a gravy.

ALMOST-DONE-WITH-SUMMAH-RY
–After a very cool start, fog will burn off, and another lovely day arrives with light wind, mostly sunny skies, and highs in the upper 60s to mid 70s
–A few high clouds are expected later in the day, and for tonight, clouds will build in which helps to keep lows from tanking again
–Expect lows in the mid 50s generally speaking
–For Tuesday, high pressure slowly pulls east, enough so that a bit of moisture to our southwest will ride up and into the region
–This will generally produce a mostly cloudy day with highs in the low to mid 70s, but a few scattered light showers are expected in parts of WMass in the afternoon which could last into the evening
–Lows will drop into the upper 50s to low 60s
–For Wednesday we’ll be watching a warm front that will track towards the region setting us up for our very warm and humid late-week stretch
–Highs will reach the low to mid 70s, and some scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon and evening as the warm front works through the region
–Lows will be in the low to mid 60s with increasing humidity at night
–For Thursday, the warmth and humidity noticeably increase, with highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s
–Expect partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies, and some afternoon/evening showers and thunderstorms will form as low pressure to our northwest cyclonically drives some instability from southwest to northeast into the region
–In addition, a cold frontal passage will take place sometime between Thursday afternoon and Friday, but that timing is clear yet
–For now, it is anticipated to occur Thursday night, and so we can expect some showers and thunderstorms then with lows in the 60s
–If that timing plays out, then Friday will increasingly sunny 75-80º range with northwesterly flow developing for Friday night, which will dry us out, and cool us down to lows in the 50s
–This will be the equivalent of the volleyball setup lob for the Labor Day Weekend weather spike, because it looks gorgeous!
–Mostly sunny, fair, dry, highs in the 70s, lows in the 50s, heavenly
–Labor Day itself COULD feature a shower, but for now, it looks dry as well

Have a great day and thanks for the kale ideas yesterday!
