Good morning everybody, some of us got a little rain yesterday but it didn’t amount to much except perhaps over portions of northeast CT where up to half an inch or so fell to the ground.
After some patchy morning fog (I’m looking at you, Pittsfield), we’ll see partly sunny skies develop across the region as the day wears on.
Highs will lean towards more seasonable levels, and crest into the 75-80º range.
A front crosses the region tonight, and as such a line of scattered showers and thunderstorms is expected to develop and push through from west to east.
Some could bring localized heavy rain or gusty winds, but severe weather is not anticipated at the moment. Lows tonight will drop into the mid 50s to low 60s.
Tuesday through Thursday look quite pleasant and should feature increasing sunshine as high pressure builds into the region.
Expect mostly sunny skies during the period, except for perhaps Tuesday night when a few isolated showers will e possible as a little disturbance passes through our region.
Highs will reach the mid 70s to low 80s with very low dew point temps, so we will enjoy comfortable levels of humidity.
With this dry air in place, it will be chilly at night, with lows in the low to mid 50s, and possibly some upper 40s in SVT!
By Friday, high pressure starts to swing east off of the coast to our south, and will set up a muggy-warmth pump briefly over the weekend.
Highs will respond on Friday, rising into the low to mid 80s under mostly sunny skies with humidity starting to increase a bit. Lows will be near 60º.
The weekend looks humid and quite warm, with Saturday being the warmest of the two. Highs should reach the mid to upper 80s on Saturday with partly sunny skies and some showers will be possible at night with lows in the 60s.
Sunday is the day to watch for showers and thunderstorms as a front approaches the region.
I’m not sure of the chance for strong/severe storms, but will continue to monitor and update you as this week progresses.
It does look less warm and less humid by early next week.
All in all, we’ve got a beautiful week ahead, we just need way more sky water!
Have a great day!
