Good morning everybody, here we are, still spinning around this giant life being hurling through a mostly vacuous energy substrate called the Universe. Humanity always was and always be a circus, so I’m wicked grateful to have connected here with you all for a small blip in a much grander cosmic time scale – truly, a blink of an eye.
Our weather this week isn’t all that dramatic, which is a good thing but I’ll take you through the quick story below, a message from my sponsor Tandem Bagel Co., and the Discussion below that, so here goes!
QUICK STORY
–Today is dry, fairly cloudy early, but some increasing sun later
–Tomorrow sees more clouds than sun, with a mostly cloudy afternoon, mostly dry, a few light showers at night possible
–Wednesday and Thursday become more humid, and a better chance for showers and thunderstorms arrives with T.S. Fred’s remnants
–Friday and into the weekend should continue to be muggy, but not oppressively humid
–Showers and storms will be scattered about at times
–Temps will never much above the mid 80s by late week, with 75-80º covering Monday-Thursday, then low to mid 80s possible thereafter
–All in all, nothing too dramatic like we had last week – a good thing!

DISCUSSION
Giant high pressure is sitting like a mother hen over the northeast U.S., with an upper level ridge setting up shop over the western Atlantic.
The influence of these features which will induce large-scale sinking/compressing air over the New England region will produce mostly dry weather through Tuesday midnight.
Today is completely dry, as well as tonight, though we’ve got some mid to high level moisture in the form of clouds for the morning into the first bit of the afternoon before drier air works in from the west and should allow for mostly sunny skies to develop.
Highs reach the mid to upper 70s today, and it will be delightfully comfortable with low humidity with light southerly wind. Lows tonight will be in the upper 50s to low 60s and mostly cloudy with time.
For Tuesday, definitely more clouds will be streaming into the region, as our high pressure system pushes further east, allowing for a southwesterly flow to strengthen, and draw Ohio Valley and Mid-Atlantic region moisture toward the WMass area.
Highs will again be in the 75-80º range, and we could see some isolated lighter showers push into the area west of the I-91 corridor by late afternoon and evening. Some showers could be heavy over the Taconics, Berkshires and southwest VT, but not expecting anything more than few light passing showers in the valley, and likely nothing east of there. Lows in the low to mid 60s with humidity increasing.
Wednesday and Thursday see T.S. Fred’s remnants stream northeast into the region, and with increasing tropical moisture and lift from the storm, we’re going to see some downpours at times in spots, likely both days, so expect a cloudy more humid stretch with wet weather at times.
Highs both days will be 75-80º with lows in the 60s and humid.
By Friday into the weekend, we should see warmer temps climbing into the low to mid 80s with some partial sunshine returning, but afternoon showers and thunderstorms possible each day.
Hope you have a great day and if you’d like to support my work and help me celebrate 10 years keeping this daily, interactive weather page and service in operation, I’ve got a limited-run, newly-designed apparel (tees, hoodies, etc) sale live now, but ends next Sunday, browse colors/styles below, thanks!
