YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning folks, snow and rain continues to exit east-northeast and out of the region this early morning, and should be mostly done by mid-morning or so.
Please let me know if you saw any light accumulations, or what you’re seeing when you read this.
For today, northwest winds and sunshine will continue to develop behind the frontal passage, with winds gusting 25-40mph at times, maybe a bit more occasionally. With high temps rising into the 40s for most of us, a blustery cooler day is on tap, with wind chills dipping into the 30s at times.
Wind will slacken tonight, with lows dropping into the upper 20s to low 30s under mostly clear skies.
For Saturday, a milder day develops with brief high pressure from the south which should help push highs up into the mid 50s or so under mostly sunny skies, with another weak cold front approaching the region.
This weak system will sprinkle through a few scattered and light rain or even snow showers in the evening and overnight, with lows dropping into the 20s. Winds should also pick up with a few lake effect snow showers possible later at night.
By Sunday, the cooler day of the weekend arrives with highs rising only into the upper 30s to mid 40s under sunny skies with northwest winds gusting up to 20-30mph at times.
This cooler end to our weekend coupled with lows either side of 30º as clouds increase should set us up for a period of light snow early Monday morning, at least north of the MassPike, with a potential mix south of there.
Light accumulations of a coating to up to 2” are possible, especially at elevation above 1500 feet. Any snow will change to rain as a system passes north of us on Monday, with highs rising into the mid 40s to low 50s. Monday looks fairly inclement at the moment, but I will keep updating you through the weekend.
Lows Monday night likely drop into the mid 30s as precip ends, and then, for now, Tuesday and Wednesday look to produce fair weather with at least partial sunshine and highs reaching the 45-50º range with another chance for light snow to rain late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Have a great day, peeps!
