TODAY’S NUTSHELL: Good morning folks, we had some showers move through parts of the region last night but we’re seeing drier air move back into the region with temps expected to reach the 70s again today with some low 80s. After that a Saturday soaker is on the way with thunder possible, to be followed by a cooler and blustery Sunday, warmer temps Monday/Tuesday, and then a few no-big-whoop showers by Wednesday morning.

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, our weak wave and boundary sparked some showers with thunder last night and into the overnight period, but now we’re drying things out with partly sunny skies expected in the valley today with mostly cloudy skies in the western high terrain of WMass and SVT.
Highs should warm right up again today with temps expected to push well into the 70s for most of us, with some low 80s possible in the Pioneer Valley floor.
For tonight clouds will increase and thicken, as a storm cranks up over Lake Ontario by Saturday, and tracks north of the greater WMass region.
This system will siphon moisture up the eastern seaboard and hurl it through southern New England for Saturday, with showers arriving after midnight. Lows will drop into the mid to upper 50s.
Saturday morning looks like a soaker to be honest, and some areas may end up with over an inch of rain by Saturday night.
Temps will also be cooler tomorrow, hanging in the 60s for many of us (a few folks might hit 70º in the southern valley).
By early to mid-afternoon, the steadier rain should taper to showers, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be drying out. Nay, and in fact, it looks to me like some scattered thunderstorms may move through with a few downpours during the afternoon until things REALLY clear out between about 8-10pm or so. Lows will drop into the 40s as we start to clear and dry a bit.
For Sunday, a blustery day looks to be on tap with northwest winds gusting 20-35mph, producing fresh cold air advection and highs only in the 50s with wind chills in the 40s at times! It’ll be a Fall feel, for sure, with partly sunny skies expected along with a spot shower possible. Lows will dip into the 40s.
By early next week, high pressure will build into and south of the region, and that will produce mostly sunny skies for Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 60s to low 70s Monday and well into the 70s for Tuesday.
Clouds will increase Tuesday night and a few more showers are expected by Wednesday morning but shouldn’t be a big deal, at all as we cool down Wednesday and Thursday, with highs in the 60s most likely.
I hope good things happen for you today!
