YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning, folks, we’ve got a chilly start with temps in the upper 20s to mid 30s, but rise those temps will as we crest into the low to mid 60s later today, only to find us busting a serious move up towards 80º for our Saturday!
Can’t touch this!
Alas for summah lovahs, such unseasonably toasty temps will be tamped down by yet another cold front that moves through our hills and sales by Sunday, but a touch of Summah should most certainly tickle our taste buds for a minute or two before we snap back to seasonal reality.
As a housekeeping note, I spoke too soon about the wind more or less relaxing through our region in the upcoming period, as we’ll be kicking out the windy jams (The Windy Jams, not a horrible jam-band name) this weekend, and a bit by this afternoon as well.
For today, with high pressure building to our south, as mentioned highs rise to the low to mid 60s with southerly winds gusting up to 25mph at times. Skies will be mostly sunny early with clouds building as the day wears on, with a few showers by later afternoon and evening also possible.
Lows tonight will dip into the low to mid 50s under mostly cloudy skies with southerly breezes, with some showers possible in the later pre-dawn hours.
For Saturday, the southerly flood gates are open with periods of showers during the day mixed with dry lulls as the warm front clears our region, driving highs into the 70s to perhaps 80º or so if we can generate enough sunny breaks. South to southwest winds will gust 25-35mph at times ahead of an incoming cold front.
Lows behind the cold front will drop to the upper 30s to mid 40s, with a drier and sunnier day for Sunday expected on fresh northwest breezes with highs in the 50s to near 60º and lows either side of freezing.
For Monday, we should see another mostly sunny start to the day with highs climbing to either side of 60º, with clouds building by later in the day.
A warm front will push a few scattered showers through the region into early Tuesday morning, but a washout out this will not be as temps lower into the 40s Monday night.
After some morning showers on Tuesday, highs both Tuesday and Wednesday will climb into the 60s under increasingly sunny skies with lows in the 40s.
By Thursday, high temps may be approaching the low 70s, so as you can see, Spring is coming on now, and with it will be the pollen increases, so allergy suffering season is also upon us. Hang in there, folks!
I hope you have something unexpectedly good happen to you today.
