YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, overall we have a tranquil weather pattern that has settled into our hills, dales, knolls, and valleys for the time being.
We have some patchy fog in CMass and the southern Berkshires noted, but that will burn off with time.
High temps will rise into the mid to upper 70s on southerly flow with high pressure east of us.
Some patchy drizzle is possible this morning in CMass and northeast CT from onshore flow but any low level moisture will abate as temps come up and the air mixes.
For tonight, humidity creeps up with dewpoints cresting 60º, and as lows come down to meet increasing humidity, I think we’ll see more areas of patchy fog tomorrow morning than today, and it will be dense in some spots.
For Saturday, clouds will be on the increase and highs will only reach the low to mid 70s.
A cold front will be tracking east toward the WMass region, and likely start spreading an area of showers into the Berkshires by mid afternoon and proceeding east from there, into the first part of the night with anywhere between two-tenths of an inch to half an inch of rainfall. I do not expect thunder as of now.
Lows will drop into the 40s with a slightly faster cold frontal passage, which will set us up for a crisp and sunny early Fall-like day with highs in the 60s under mostly sunny skies and Sunday night lows in the mid 40s under clear skies.
High pressure than will push back in behind the departed front and produce another week-long spate of sunny days with highs in the 70s early in the week and lows in the upper 40s to mid 50s, followed by highs in the upper 70s to mid 80s by mid to late next week as high pressure passes south of us.
Fair weather with reasonable dewpoints in the 55-60º range, here we come!
Have a great day!
