>>> DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL <<<
–After a brief bit of sun to the east very early this morning, we’re clouding right up for the day
–High temps are being realized now as they are expected to hang in the mid 40s to low 50s as rain moves in
–Showers are already into parts of northern CT and southwest MA, and will continue to spread into the area through afternoon
–It will be a raw, Autumn day with light to moderate rain at times
–There will be lulls at times, like perhaps tonight, but periods of showers are still expected tonight into Monday morrning
–Lows tonight drop into the upper 30s to mid 40s with patchy fog as well
–Highs tomorrow/Monday will again be in the mid 40s to low 50s as rain starts to exit by afternoon as low pressure tracks east through the region
–Northwest winds will pick up and gust to 20mph overnight Monday night which may help mitigate frost formation
–However, lows will drop to the upper 20s to mid 30s to frost is possible
–On Tuesday, mostly sunny skies develop with cold highs in the upper 30s to 40s, so you will need to bundle up the littles for Halloween activities as temps will fall into the 30s in the evening
–Clouds will build Tuesday night, but as it looks now, an upper level low will track to “flat” (meaning west-east vs. north-south) and push our developing coastal low more southeast
–This means that the high terrain of southern Worcester County or northeast CT could see a few Wednesday morning snow showers, but the storm won’t have much impact here
–Still, a few snow or rain showers are possible in the WMass region during the first half of Wednesday
–Wednesday is the coldest day yet with highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s, and a hard freeze is likely at night with lows firmly in the 20s
–After that, high pressure builds in and brings a sunny Thursday through Saturday period as our rainy weekend pattern starts to try and break down
–Highs will be in the 40s Thursday, and then the upper 40s to 50s Friday and Saturday, but before we get into the details let’s check a note from our local weekend sponsor, #GerardGhazeyBatesPC, an estate planning law firm in Northampton, MA.

>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, I am feeling a bit under the weather today, so much of what you need to know is in the nutshell above.

The bottom line is that our last late summer taste from yesterday and the days preceding has left the building, and has been replaced by true Autumnal weather as a rain storm sets in later this morning, this afternoon, tonight and into the first part of Monday with cool temps.

Fortunately, the mid-week system continues to trend southeast and out to sea, but a few folks in southern New England may see their first snowflakes this season very late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

Otherwise fair weather is expected Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and hopefully through next Sunday as well.

I am off to make chicken soup for my soul, and rest up during this raw and rainy Sunday.

Might have to watch some Ted Lasso while I’m at it.

I love that character! :-)

Have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
