YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning every-person’s-body, we’re still suspended in the cosmic firmament so hug the one you’re with today, and be kind to someone out there in this wild crazy world.
As for our weather, we’ve got a mild and dare I say slightly humid start out there with some folks near or at 60º as a cold continues to press into and through the region.
A few light showers are scattered about and those will vanish with time later this morning, and behind the front we’ll see northwest winds gusting 15-25mph at times.
The day will still be milder than originally expected due to a lag in the cooler air arriving, though that will surely happen by this evening.
For today, highs will reach the mid 50s to mid 60s or so as clouds decrease with sunshine increasing behind our frontal passage. We sure could use the rain at this point, but aside from Saturday morning showers I don’t see any big storms in sight as our dry pattern continues through at least next week.
Lows tonight will dip into the upper 20s and (mostly) 30s under mostly clear skies.
Tomorrow/Friday will be a bit cooler with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s from high terrain to low under mostly sunny skies, with clouds increasing at night as a another cold front approaches the greater WMass region.
Lows will sit down to either side of 40º, and a few showers will likely move in after midnight, lasting into early Saturday morning.
Again like today, Saturday should clear up into a mostly sunny day with highs in the mid 50s to mid 60s, with lows dropping into the upper 20s to mid 30s.
Sunday looks colder, with highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s under mostly sunny skies, with lows in the mid 20s to low 30s with more clear skies.
So, frosts/freeze potential for those who care is tonight, Saturday night and Sunday (not Friday night).
Strong high pressure builds through the region Sunday and Monday, with Monday highs in the upper 40s to mid 50s under sunny skies similar to Sunday, and lows either side of the freezing mark under mostly clear skies.
We start to warm up Tuesday with highs in the low to mid 60s, but it is next Wednesday and Thursday (and possibly next Friday) when we get another warm up with highs well into the 70s, prior to a potential pattern change to deeper Autumn.
Like you, I’ll believe it when I see it, but I do see signals growing so I will keep tabs on how the first half of November continues to shape up.
Have a great day, and please remember my calendar as you think about your holiday gift shopping, or for yourself (order link below):
