YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
–Fair weather dominates through Saturday at least, and possibly into the first half of Sunday prior to a frontal passage
–Today and tomorrow are similar in terms of temps, with highs in the 50s today, and upper 50s to low 60s tomorrow
–We should see more of a partly sunny day in the high terrain and mostly sunny in the Pioneer Valley
–Temps likely plummet into the low to mid 30s tonight with *first frost* for many folks overnight
–After a chilly start, more sunshine arrives for Tuesday which is our transition day to warmer temps (lows Tuesday night in the low to mid 40s)
–Wednesday through Saturday features high pressure south of us, and warm over-land southwest flow
–Highs will reach the mid 60s to low 70s on Wednesday, and then upper 60s to mid 70s Thursday through Saturday
–By Sunday or Sunday night a cold front will be working into the region with some scattered showers
–By early November we could be looking at much colder temps as a big high pressure system drops into the center of the country, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.
YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, I hope things go your way to today somehow and in some way as we get up and get at it once again and continually plunge ourselves into this crazy, wondrous, brutal, and varied topsy-turvy human life we’re all living together simultaneously! Keep going!

As for our weather, it will be supportive of our broader lives in terms of producing a calm and pleasant background state for us.

In other words, fair weather is expected with increasing sunshine and warmth this week prior to more showers this coming Sunday or Sunday night prior to what looks like a big cool down coming for the first week in November, so the seesaw goes up and the seesaw goes down!

For today and tomorrow, we will enjoy seasonable temperatures with highs a bit cooler today than tomorrow, hanging in the 50s with a few folks hitting 60º.

Expect partly sunny skies overall in the high terrain (mostly west of the CT River) and mostly sunny skies elsewhere.

***Tonight is when some may see first frost.***

Remember: the growing season is considered to be done for MA, VT and NH so no Frost Advisories or Freeze headlines will be issued by the NWS.

Northern CT is still in its growing season, but frost should be more isolated down that way.

The bottom line is that WMass, CMass, SVT and SWNH could see patchy to widespread frost with lows in the low to mid 30s expected.

Given that we won’t have any cold mornings like this until later next week, I would protect my plants if I had some that needed protecting, to be safe.

For Tuesday temps come up a bit into the upper 50s to low 60s with plenty of sunshine and lows in the 40s with light winds.

Wednesday through Saturday is looking quite warm for this time of year, with highs in the mid 60s to low 70s on Wednesday, and in the upper 60s to mid 70s Thursday through Saturday with plenty of sunshine throughout, and lows in the upper 40s to 50s. Enjoy!

By Sunday, clouds will build as a cold front approaches the region, and we should see some scattered showers by Sunday afternoon or night, with highs in the 60s.

Early next week is looking much colder, and there is even a light snow signal for the Berkshires and northwest CT, but that’s likely a blip in the matrix for now, but something I will continue to monitor.

Have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
