YOUR WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL

–A dry front passed through the region which will allow northwest winds to gust 15-25mph today
–Highs reach the mid 50s to low 60s under mostly sunny skies
–Winds slacken later, lows drop to the upper 30s to low 40s
–Clouds increase into Saturday, though a partly sunny morning is possible
–Our coastal storm is suppressed south by drier northerly flow into our region

–Some instability showers are possible early next week with similar highs, but no washouts are expected
–Milder temps are expected by mid to late week with drying conditions, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, there’s not too much to talk about regarding our weather that isn’t covered in the sections above.
Generally speaking, we have an upper low over Maine heading east-northeast into Atlantic Canada, and the counterclockwise flow around it will help drive northwest gusts of 15-25mph this morning and early afternoon.
We’ll enjoy mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 50s to low 60s with slackening winds later in the day and tonight with lows in the upper 30s to low 40s under partly to mostly cloudy skies.
For tomorrow, it certainly won’t be the brightest day in the world, but we may get some partly sunny skies to work in here during the morning before the northern extent of a coastal storm’s cloud deck overspreads our region as the day wears on.
Highs will reach the 55-60º range and by evening we should see some showers work into parts of northern CT, especially the southern halves of those 4 counties, on southward and east into RI and southeast MA.
Lows will hang mostly in the low 40s with periods of rain down in CT and RI, with dry conditions expected in WMass/CMass on northward.
Sunday showers in CT should end pretty early in the morning, and give way to an increasingly partly sunny day after morning cloudiness with highs again in the 55-60º range, and with lows in the low to mid 40s.
A cool pool of air aloft early next week may help spark some afternoon instability showers and we may see weak low pressure form to our south for Tuesday which could aid in some shower development, but it does not look like anything of substance, so I’m not concerned about it, really.
Highs will hang in the 55-60º range early to mid next week, and then milder air work into the region, raising our temps more squarely into the 60s for highs and 40s for lows with increasing sunshine toward the end of the week.
While we may be dealing with a storm system the following weekend, that’s a LONG way off, so let’s take this weekend’s win with a much drier forecaster and run with it for a while.
Enjoy today, it will be beautiful.
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
