–Sunday should see drying through the day from north to south, partly sunny north, mostly cloudy south
–Highs will be in the 50s to near 60º all weekend with lows near 40º
–Early next week could see instability showers from a nearby upper low with its associated cool pool of air aloft causing shower development, but before we talk details let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in the Stop & Shop Plaza on King Street in Northampton, MA.

YOUR MORNING DISCUSSION
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning everybody, we’re finally getting our Canadian upper low to vamoose to the east, and as it does so it will send one more very weak wave through to our north today, which will increase clouds in northern MA, SVT and SWNH, and produce a few isolated showers perhaps in that part of our region.
Areas to the south including most of the Pioneer Valley will see partly to mostly sunny skies with highs well into the 60s – dare I say warm? That might be pushing it, but certainly milder than recent days.
Lows will be chilly tonight, dropping into the mid 30s to low 40s, so some patchy frost is possible in northern areas.
Our low pushes into the Canadian Maritimes by tomorrow which will send a dry cold front through the region. From that we’ll see cooler highs tomorrow mostly in the mid to upper 50s, along with some northwest breezes with gusts up to 20mph at times. Lows will be near 40º.
Then we watch our Atlantic Canadian low team up with a south-central Canadian high pressure center to produce drying northerly flow into our region, which will help suppress an eastward-tracking low pressure system mostly to our south over the weekend, which would be MOST WELCOME INDEED!
Yes, in that particular case (unlike my daily headlines) I am yelling! With Joy!
Still, we’ll have to watch it as some showers are expected to ride north into northern CT and possibly as far north as southernmost WMass/CMass late Saturday afternoon, but especially overnight into early Sunday morning.
Highs this weekend will hang in the 50s with more clouds to the south, but with a chance for a partly sunny weekend along and north of the Route 9 corridor in MA! That would be awesome!
Sunday dries as the day goes on, and sunshine should try to peek through the clouds further south toward CT. Lows will be in the 40s both nights.
For early next week, an upper low nearby should destabilize the atmosphere enough with cold air aloft to produce some scattered instability showers with highs in the 50s but there are no big storms in sight at the moment, no big cool downs, and no big warm ups.
Steady as we go in the weather department, thankfully. I wish you well today.
>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
