>>> DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL <<<
–No big whoop weather is on the way folks, as we remain in a zonal (i.e. west to east) flow across the northern U.S. for days
–Today will feature more clouds than sun, but mostly mid to high clouds as some sun will peek through
–Highs will reach the mid to upper 50s with lows in the upper 30s with a spot shower possible
–Clocks go back an hour tonight, and we have an EARLY sunset tomorrow!
–More sun than clouds tomorrow, light wind, highs mid 50s and lows near freezing
–Monday will be in the 50s and cloud up with showers overnight into early Tuesday, which looks quite mild, near 60º
–Wednesday is a transition day with clouds increasing and another storm moving through at night with potential for snow and sleet overnight, coating some high terrain surfaces
–Otherwise, valley rains are expected into Thursday morning with colder temps in the 40s for highs late week, but before we get into the details let’s check a note from our local weekend sponsor, #GerardGhazeyBatesPC, an estate planning law firm in Northampton, MA.

>>> MORNING DISCUSSION <<<
Good morning everybody, well, we’ve finally arrived to enjoy what looks like a dry weekend FINALLY, and one with seasonable temperatures in early November with 50s for highs, so get out and enjoy it!

Yours truly will be stacking wood for much of it, as it’s that time of year, and an ideal weekend to do it.

Folks, there isn’t much to discuss. We’ll have light winds into next week for the most part, *maybe* a spot shower overnight as a weak cold front slides through, and the next chance for any shower activity is Monday night into Tuesday morning, and northern CT may escape the bulk of those showers as a storm tracks west to east well north of us.

I think best chance for showers will be north of the MA/CT state line in WMass/CMass, SVT and SWNH into Tuesday morning, and even then, maybe we’re talking about a tenth to two-tenths of an inch at most, not a big deal.

That front likely passes through as a warm front which could bring some breezy conditions Tuesday afternoon with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s, but another dry cold front comes through and sets us up for a cooler Wednesday with highs in the upper 40s.

This cooler air precedes the arrival of another fast moving storm ejecting east out of the Ohio Valley Wednesday afternoon.

This system will then track through the greater WMass region on Wednesday night into early Thursday morning and could bring snow and ice to the high terrain during the pre-dawn hours into Thursday morning, with snow/rain mix in the valley, turning to rain.

It’s looking cooler with highs in the mid to upper 40s behind that system, and we can’t rule out some slushy/wintry coatings in the high terrain of MA and VT west of the I-91 corridor for the Thursday morning commute, so stay tuned for updates.

Have a great day!

>>> BE KIND <<<
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
–Kurt Vonnegut
