MORNING DISCUSSION
Good morning everybody, aside from joining me in donating to Monte’s March and the Western Mass Food Bank to fight hunger this season, I think we can be thankful for even more improvements to an already good-looking forecast for Thanksgiving travel, as now our Friday storm is looking significantly more tame and milder, so travel immediately before, during and after the holiday is looking weather-supportive.

We’ll get to the Friday weather shortly, but since Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday precedes, let us follow the bouncing ball in linear time from today into next week.

–We’ve got a slight seesaw of wind direction changes over the next few days, from west-southwest today, to west-northwest tomorrow, to west-southwest Thanksgiving Thursday
–For today, we’ll enjoy mostly sunny skies with high pressure just south of us, and highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s with light wind and lows in the 20s
–For Wednesday, we’ll behind a weak cold front so a bit of wind is expected with gusts up to 20mph at times
–Highs will reach the low to mid 40s with lows in the mid 20s under mostly sunny skies with a few clouds at night
–Thanksgiving looks perfectly late-November, with sunshine and highs in the low to mid 40s, with lows bottoming out in the upper 20s as clouds increase
–The change that happened is it now appears the northern and southern stream systems that looked to be combining into a big storm for Friday into Saturday will now separate from each other
–This means the northern stream should get in here faster on Friday with a wave or period of showers, with highs in the mid to upper 40s, with showers ending at night with lows in the low 30s
–Saturday will be our storm sandwich filling with even milder conditions and sunshine
–Highs will reach the upper 40s to low 50s with lows in the low 30s as clouds increase
–After midnight, a wetter, more substantial southern stream system brings more widespread rainfall for Sunday with highs either side of 50º
–Early to mid next week looks like fair and seasonable weather, with another chance for storminess on Thursday

Have a great day folks!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
