DAVE’S WEEKLY WEATHER NUTSHELL
Good morning, folks, there’s plenty of changes on the way over the next 48 hours, including the evaporation of any light fog that has formed this morning.
Going forward, we’re warm today and tomorrow with some folks reaching the low 70s thanks to Nicole’s remnants pushing tropical air into the region along with rain by late this afternoon becoming heavy overnight and into Saturday morning with wind gusts, followed by a few showers Sunday and much cooler temps through mid-week at which time some of us may see our first snowfall, but before we jump into the details, let’s check a note from our local and delicious sponsor, #TandemBagelCo, with their newest location in West Springfield, MA.

WEATHER REPORT
Good morning everybody, let’s rip out some double–dashes as my “a” key is giving me problems this morning. ctually (see what I did there?) those two things are unrelated, but bulletization activities will now commence nyways!
–Clouds will continue to increase as Nicole’s remnants approach from the south-southwest
–Highs will climb into the 65-70º range
–Southerly gusts may come up into the 20mph range during the daylight hours, but most of the wind holds off until the night
–The low center will race up just inland of the eastern seaboard tonight and run through eastern NY and western VT by morning
–This will put first showers in to the WMass region by late afternoon, with more showers increasing tonight
–Lows will be very mild, only down to the upper 50s to low 60s
–Some thunderstorms and ponding of the road ways is possible
–There looks to be as a lull in the pre-dawn hours with just scattered showers after the warm frontal portion moves through tonight
–Then toward dawn and just after, a line of convection with heavy rain and thunderstorms will be possible, and wind gusts may become briefly strongest then
–Overall, we can expect wind gusts of 25-40mph overnight and into the morning, and about .75″ to 1.5″ of rain
–I do think the northern Litchfields, Taconics, Berkshires, southern Greens and western hilltowns may see up to 2″ or so in spots given orographic effects
–Rain quits by mid to late Saturday morning, then some sunny breaks occur with highs mid 60s to low 70s and winds veering to the west and gusting over 30mph at times as colder air rushes in
–By tomorrow night, we’re down into the 30s for lows
–Sunday will see a second wave round the southern flank of the upper trough in the Great Lakes, which will send a few showers our way, so more of a mixed day on Sunday now rather than Sunny and chilly. Highs mid 40s to low 50s
–Monday and Tuesday are cold and fair, highs upper 30s to mid 40s and lows in the 20s with sunshine
–Tuesday night clouds build, and we could see snow moving into the WMass region mixed rain in the southern valley points east and south
–This would turn to rain quickly on Wednesday morning, but first flakes are possible, so stay tuned!

AND REMEMBER…
“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It’s round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you’ve got a hundred years here. There’s only one rule that I know of, babies: Goddamn it, you’ve got to be kind.”
